According to the data of the seventh national census in 2020,there were 260 million in the age group of 60 and above,and 35.8 million people aged 80 and over,accounting for 2.54% of the total population.Compared with 2010,the proportions of people in these age groups were up by 14.85 million and 0.98 percentage points,which means that the aging of its population has become excessive.Due to the change of living style and such reasons as widowhood,the seniors living alone account for a large proportion of the elderly.Compared with the elderly from 60 to 79 years old,the very elderly people who living alone need special attention,and have higher requirements for the service quality.With the development of national undertakings for the aged in China,the basic livelihood of the seniors has been ensured,however,it is insufficient to pay attention to the detailed needs of specific seniors,especially for the urban seniors living alone.In recent years,the news media have continuously reported various problems and tragedies of the seniors living alone.Some are lack of mental support so as to choose to commit suicide at home,which reflects the urgent need to meet the mental support needs of the urban seniors living alone.This article selects weihai city as the research site,H in downtown community use case execution of work,lack of the solace in the spirit of H in the community of two-year-old people who live alone as A case,through the one-to-one in-depth interviews,and the service object is A grandma and grandpa B trust,and understanding the spiritual requirements,and using the related theories of narrative therapy,the working processes and methods,Intervene in it.Through this study,it is found that narrative therapy with story-telling as the main intervention method is suitable for the elderly living alone,and interviews are conducted through one-to-one face-to-face communication,which is especially suitable for the elderly living alone for a long time,with poor physical condition and inconvenient movement.On the other hand,narrative therapy requires service objects to have certain communication and expression abilities,and social workers to have higher requirements for theoretical literacy and skills,so social workers need to master the concept and skills of narrative therapy,so as to provide more professional intervention services.
