Research On The Development Of Pearl Ball Sports In Jiangsu Colleges And Universities

The "Pearl Ball" movement originated in my country’s Mudanjiang and Heilongjiang river basins.About 2,000 years ago,the ancestors of the Manchu people discovered abundant fishery resources in Northeast my country.When the people were fishing and hunting,the clams salvaged from the rivers were thrown to the fishing boats,and the fishermen on the shore caught them with their nets.Over time,it became a game in the production and labor of the Manchu people.After constant changes in the times,this game,which originated from the production and labor of the Manchu people,was officially unveiled as a competition item in the Fourth National Democratic Games in 1991,and began to be promoted in an orderly manner throughout the country.Most areas choose universities as the pearl ball sports training base,while promoting the "integration of sports and education",it also promotes more students to actively participate in the national and provincial democratic games,laying a good foundation for the development of pearl ball sports.This article investigates the development status of pearl ball sports in universities and colleges in Jiangsu Province through literature method,questionnaire survey method,expert interview method and mathematical statistics method.From pearl ball sports related experts,coaches,athletes and students participating in pearl ball public sports courses Start to understand the development,training,and course offerings of Pearl Ball in universities and colleges in Jiangsu Province.Through the investigation,the main conclusions are as follows:（1）Jiangsu Province,as an area inhabited by ethnic minorities,has a good atmosphere for the development of traditional ethnic sports.In this environment,the promotion of Pearl Ball in colleges and universities has a certain cultural environment and development foundation.（2）The special competition rules formulated by the Jiangsu Provincial Folk Relations Bureau have enhanced the integration of various ethnic groups in sports.While strengthening national unity,it also provides assistance in the selection of outstanding athletes.（3）Jiangsu Province takes colleges and universities as the core of the development of pearl ball sports,and takes the form of sports competition as the main form.At the same time,it establishes pearl ball sports training bases in colleges and universities in the province to lay the foundation for development.（4）The pearl ball sports teams of Jiangsu colleges and universities are mainly men.The absence of a women’s pearl ball team makes the college pearl ball sports teams appear polarized and unbalanced.（5）In terms of sports training,various college sports teams lack communication and learning from each other in the daily training process.Most of the training cycle arrangements are pre-match intensive training,which lacks continuity.On the other hand,the functional departments lack specific and long-term development plans and capital investment for Pearl Ball,and lack the classification and training environment for the development of coaches and referees.（6）As for the establishment of public physical education courses,due to the generally low awareness of traditional national sports among students,the initiative and enthusiasm of students in selecting courses for Pearl Ball is affected.
