The difficulties encountered by college students in the stage of career choice and decision making deserve the attention of the society.All kinds of difficulties encountered by college students in career choice and decision making in the stage of career exploration are defined as career decision-making difficulties.College students generally have a high degree of difficulty in making career decisions,which has become a widespread phenomenon in the current society.As a part of college students,vocational students focus on the application and improvement of technical skills.Difficulties in vocational decision-making are not only related to the employment and future career development of vocational students,but also affect social production and social harmony and stability.Therefore,it is imperative for students,schools,families and society to reduce difficulties in vocational decision-making.Based on the social cognitive career theory,this study also introduced two variables,perceived social support and career decision-making self-efficacy,to study the status quo and influence mechanism of the three variables.This study selected 492 vocational college students in Jiangxi Province to conduct a survey,the results show that:(1)The difficulty of vocational college students’ career decision-making is at the middle level,and there is significant difference in grade variables.(2)The perceived social support of vocational college students is above the average level,and there are significant differences in gender and family location variables.(3)The vocational students’ sense of career decision-making self-efficacy is above the medium level,and there are significant differences in gender and grade variables.(4)There is a significant negative correlation between perceived social support and career decision-making difficulty,and perceived social support can significantly predict career decision-making difficulty.Vocational students’ career decision-making self-efficacy has a significant negative correlation with career decision-making difficulties,career decision-making self-efficacy can significantly negatively predict career decision-making difficulties;There is a significant positive correlation between perceived social support and perceived career decision-making self-efficacy,and perceived social support can significantly positively predict perceived career decision-making self-efficacy.(5)Vocational students’ self-efficacy in career decision-making plays a partial mediating role between understanding social support and difficulties in career decision-making.Through the study of the mechanism of perceived social support on career decision-making difficulties of some vocational students in Jiangxi Province.In order to reduce the career decision-making difficulties of higher vocational students,improve employment quality and employment satisfaction,this research makes the following recommendations:From the perspective of students,it is necessary to reduce career decision-making difficulties by improving students’ self-awareness and evaluation,and cultivating their core competitiveness;From the aspect of family,more career options should be given and more family support should be provided to reduce students’ difficulties in making career decisions;From the school level,it is necessary to reduce students’ career decision-making difficulties by promoting the optimization of the internal and external employment environment,improving the employment curriculum guidance system,optimizing the construction of the teaching staff,and strengthening the internship training inside and outside the school;From the social level,it is necessary to standardize and optimize the employment market environment,guide the correct public opinion direction and increase the realization of personal value publicity to reduce the difficulties in career decision-making. |
