School bullying behavior is a bad factor that seriously affects the physical and mental health of young people. For a long time,we have hoped to prevent and manage school bullying behavior through various channels.Psychological research has found that people with callous unemotional traits have a more stable and more serious tendency to attack, but its relationship with bullying behavior and the inner psychological operation mechanism needs further research. The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between the callous unemotional traits of junior high school students and school bullying behavior,as well as the role of moral disagreement and empathy in it.Using the Callous Unemotional Traits Quality Scale, the Chinese version of the Bullying Behavior Questionnaire, the Youth Cyberbullying Questionnaire, the Youth Moral Disengagement Questionnaire, and the Chinese version of the Interpersonal Response Index Scale to survey1,020 middle school students in four middle schools in Hunan Province.Results:(1)Callous unemotional traits, traditional bullying behavior, cyberbullying behavior, and moral disengagement are all significantly positively correlated, and callous unemotional traits have a significant negative correlation with empathy, callous unemotional traits can positively predict traditional bullying and cyberbullying behaviors.(2)Moral disengagement plays an intermediary role between callous unemotional traits and traditional bullying behavior and callous unemotional traits and cyberbullying behavior. This intermediary process is regulated by empathy, and four variables constitute a moderate mediation model. The results show that the higher the callous unemotional traits, the more the two types of bullying behaviors;as a potential psychological mechanism, moral disengagement plays a mediating role between callous unemotional traits and the two types of bullying behavior, that is,callous unemotional traits partially predicts two types of bullying behaviors through moral disengagement;empathy regulated the relationship between the callous unemotional traits and moral disengagement, that is,those individuals with high callous unemotional traits with higher empathy will show more moral disengagement. However, there is no obvious difference in the level of empathy in moral disengagement in the low-callous unemotional traits.
