| In recent years,with the rise of social pressure,a large number of graduates are at a loss for their future career development.Therefore,it is particularly important to establish a good career plan.Career development is a continuous and long-term process,which is affected by a variety of factors.The career development plan of students in senior high school plays a fundamental role in their future growth.Therefore,it is necessary for educators in senior high school to pay attention to the training of students’ mental health.Self esteem and self-identity are important psychological characteristics.Self esteem is an important part of an individual’s sound and healthy personality;Self-identity achievement can effectively promote the ability of career development.Therefore,strengthening the cultivation of self-esteem and self-identity of high school students can have an important impact on their career development.In this study,607 senior one,senior two and senior three students from two senior high schools in W City were investigated by using self-esteem scale SES,adolescent identity crisis scale,senior high school career development questionnaire CDI and self-made population knowledge volume.The data was mainly processed by using of spss25 software and structural equation model to statistically analyze the relationship between senior high school students’ self-esteem,self-identity and career development.Results:First,high school students’ self-esteem level is good,and there are significant differences in terms of gender and grade;Second,the overall identity level of middle school students is low,the degree of identity crisis in the dimensions of helplessness,self doubt and authority confusion is high,and there are significant differences in gender and grade;Third,there is no significant difference in career development between genders,but significant differences in grades.The career development level of Grade Three is higher than that of Grade One and Two;Fourth,self-esteem is negatively correlated with identity crisis level,self-esteem is positively correlated with career development,and identity crisis level is negatively correlated with career development;Fifth,the level of self-identity plays a mediating role in self-esteem and career development.Self-esteem can affect the career development of high school students by affecting the identity crisis,and has obvious mediating effects on all dimensions of the identity crisis.Suggestions for school teachers:pay attention to the role of self-esteem and self-identity on career development in the future;help students constantly explore themselves,understand themselves and have a positive and correct understanding of the future through group counseling,case counseling,practical activities and other ways;help high school students improve their mental health level and improve their ability of career planning through setting up more career guidance courses and employment guidance activities. |
