This paper attempts to understand: in the rapid transformation of the social environment of urbanization, what is the micro process of a rural family to promote their own urbanization?China’s macro urbanization process has experienced two stages: the rapid and incomplete rural-urban migration stage with huge population and the citizenization stage with permanent migration of moblie population. The barriers between urban and rural areas were once heavily fortified, but they did not stop the continuous efforts of farmers.National policies and systems are constantly adjusting, but it is impossible to fully respond to the needs of reality in a timely manner. From demography, sociology, development economics to urban geography, urban and rural planning, all disciplines are constantly studying and explaining, and always taking catching up with the macro changes of rural areas as the mainstream.Lack of bottom-up micro examination, the mechanism and process of independent urbanization of peasant families are always in the fog. This paper takes a rural family who has been migrating many times between rural and urban areas as the object, and uses the qualitative resea rch method of field investigation and ethnography writing method to understand the family migration behavior and decision-making logic of urbanization. The framework of the whole article is drawn by two lines: the urbanization process of families, and the demand change process of different family life cycle stages. In terms of content expression,it creatively brings individual psychological and physiological changes in the process of urbanization to the existing macro urbanization narrative, and correspond s the changes of a family to the dynamic process of urbanization.According to the logic of the above two lines, this paper carries out an empirical study on the time line of the family itself in promoting the urbanization process. The research contents include the following three points: first, clarify the initial dynamic mechanism of rural families leaving the countryside, and focus on the analysis of the push of rural multi parties and the help of large family to individual leaving the countryside and entering the city after the family production. The second is to verify the existing theoretical mechanism of family urbanization, that is,to analyze the process of family members’ step-by-step migration strategy to cope with the urban-rural dual restrictions after the pioneers enter the city,so as to grasp the behavior mechanism of families’ internal gathering and scattering to adjust urbanization between urban and rural areas.Thirdly,it focuses on the process of family reunion in the form of return after long-term separation, and refines the family logic and action mechanism of the return of rural-urban migration families. The conclusions are as follows:(1)the mobile population families digest the high cost of urbanization through the division of labor between the extended family and the nuclear family, and the family members cooperate with each other to achieve the goal of family urbanization.(2)The spatial behavior of floating families is related to their family life cycle stages, and the main needs of families at different stages determine the urbanization strategies adopted by families.(3)Under the restriction of the threshold of reunion in big cities, the long-term separation strategy of migrant families has been suppressed, which makes backflow an inevitable choice for families to pursue reunion in urbanization. |
