Relying On Revolutionary Culture To Cultivate College Students’ Socialist Core Values

The requirements of the "Opinions on Cultivating and Practicing the Core Values of Socialism" issued by the General Office of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China clearly point out the important role of carrying forward the excellent traditional Chinese culture to delight the spirit and cultivate civilization.As China enters a new era,young people are the pillars of the country and the hope of the nation.Their value orientation greatly affects the future and destiny of China’s development.Therefore,colleges and universities should pay more attention to the cultivation of college students’ socialist core values.However,in a complex society where material desires and foreign cultures prevail,the willpower of college students is relatively easy to shake,and there is an urgent need for a scientific and effective advanced culture to guide college students.The cultural connotation and spiritual value of the revolutionary culture itself are highly coupled with the value goals pursued in the core values of socialism.Taking revolutionary cultural resources as an important force in the cultivation of socialist core values can provide new ideas for college students’ cultivation of socialist core values.At present,some colleges and universities have infiltrated revolutionary culture into the ideological and political education classrooms,and combined them with campus cultural construction and social practice.However,many problems have emerged in the existing cultivation process,such as lack of support by relying on revolutionary cultural resources,lack of attractive cultivation methods,lack of endogenous awareness of college students,and lack of infiltration in the cultivation environment.For college students,the recognition and inheritance of revolutionary culture needs to be improved,and colleges and society should also pay attention to creating an atmosphere for the inheritance of revolutionary culture.On the basis of a careful analysis of the current situation,we have triggered new thinking on the causes of existing problems and cultivation paths.At present,relying on the revolutionary culture to strengthen the cultivation of the socialist core values of college students still has many challenges.For example,people’s cognition of the connotation of revolutionary culture is superficial;revolutionary culture and school education lack an effective combination;the impact of domestic and foreign social thoughts on domestic ideals and beliefs;in addition,there are many deviations between modern value pursuits and traditional values.Therefore,in-depth exploration should be conducted in terms of cultivating foundation,cultivating environment,cultivating subjects,and cultivating ways.First of all,we must hold on to the main position of revolutionary culture and strengthen the foundation for the cultivation of the core socialist values of college students;Secondly,it is necessary to optimize the process of dissemination of revolutionary culture and keep the environment of the core socialist values of college students pure;Once again,we must give full play to stimulating the initiative and enthusiasm of college students’ self-education,and promote the effectiveness of college students’ socialist core values;Finally,we must strive to innovate revolutionary culture teaching content and teaching methods,so that revolutionary culture can help college students in the whole process of cultivating socialist core values.
