A Case Study Of Pure Girl Family In Rural Areas Based On The Theory Of Social Support

Since family planning was established as a basic national policy in the 1980 s,the number of children in each family in our country has been greatly controlled.However,the decrease in the total number of children in the family has caused a shock to the concept of "raising children to protect the elderly",and there has been a sudden increase in the number of pure girl families without male descendants in rural areas.For urban families,they are less affected by the fertility culture,and urban residents adopt a more open attitude toward gender in their concepts,and urban residents rely on their own savings and a relatively complete social security system to basically solve the concerns that may be caused by issues such as old-age care;Rural areas that are deeply influenced by traditional culture are facing more difficulties.There is a big gap between urban and rural areas in terms of economic development,ideological and conceptual understanding,medical and health care,and social security.The family pension model that relies on sons to provide for the elderly still plays an irreplaceable role in rural areas.The "acquaintance society" brings The discussion also caused more pressure and difficulties to rural pure girl families.In the reality of the gradual increase in the number of pure girl families in rural areas,how to solve the negative impact of traditional reproductive culture on them and realize their normal development is the focus of building a new socialist countryside.This article takes the pure girl families in an administrative village in Henan Province as the research object.It starts from the theory of social support and learns the results of previous studies through the literature method.Through interviews with some villagers and pure girl families,it understands the general situation of rural pure girl families.And use the professional knowledge of social work to carry out case studies of pure girl families,clarify the reasons for the plight of pure girl families,and explore the role of different social support entities in solving the plight of pure girl families.The research in this paper finds that there are three reasons for the plight of pure girl families in rural areas,which stem from the actual needs of men in agricultural society,the mental burden that is difficult to get rid of,and the lack of motivation of pure girl families.After entering the pure girl families through various channels,analyzing the social support system reveals that the informal support system is weak,and only the family system exerts a stable support force;in the formal support system,they do not understand and do not know how to use the social and community supporting functions,maintaining affirmation of the government support system but only passively accepting it,etc.In the process of carrying out case work,we mainly use the rational emotional therapy model to modify the client’s cognition and eliminate the inner sensitivity and low self-esteem caused by the pure girl families status;assist in learning communication skills and smoothly integrate into community life;organize the elderly care resources and organize the construction of pure girl families mutual assistance groups,to realize the mutual help of local female-only households,and learn how to actively obtain social support.In the end,this article hopes to improve the formal support system of the government,society,and community on the one hand,and strengthen the informal support system for families,relatives and friends on the other hand,mobilize all social resources.In the end,it will effectively meet the needs of rural pure girl families,improve the ability to cope with risks,and achieve their own healthy development.
