After 2016 virtual reality technology has received widespread attention from the society,in 2020,due to the impact of the epidemic,the heat rise again.In this article,The current situation of virtual reality technology and applications at home and abroad is analyzed,and the constraints of engineering projects and the feasibility of implementation schemes is discussed.Taking the campus of Fuyang Normal University as the main body,a virtual roaming system on the campus of Fuyang Normal University was built.The system is oriented to the needs of Fuyang Normal University’s enrollment publicity,and integrates a variety of development technologies to solve different engineering constraints.The basic framework of the system is based on HTML5 and Three.js.As a long-term view,realism is the main requirement.After taking photos of some buildings,use PTGUI to synthesize them into panoramic photos and publish them in Krpano,which can be used for panoramic roaming through hotspots.For the main campus building,use Rhino(rhino)3D modeling software for modeling with architectural drawings and simple structure;for buildings without drawings but can shoot the appearance of the building in all directions,use the modeling software Reality Capture based on point cloud technology for modeling.mold.The built model is converted to the glb format through the Babylon plug-in of 3DS MAX,and then loaded into the scene built by Three.js.Finally,the scene,camera,light source,renderer,controller,etc.are programmed and designed to realize campus virtual roaming.After the release,users can get an immersive understanding of the face and history of the school campus through keyboard and mouse human-computer interaction.Taking into account the user’s experience preference,two roaming systems are built: the role mode and the global mode: the former is a first-person roaming through the keyboard and mouse control perspective,which can bring a strong sense of immersion and can stroll around the campus;the latter can make Users have a better understanding of the school as a whole.,It can be upgraded by adding models in the future.The campus roaming system of Fuyang Normal University integrates a variety of VR technologies to overcome difficulties in actual engineering tasks,and has greater reference value for projects with more similar constraints.
