In 2015,the national two-child policy is open,and the arrival of the second child makes the original only child into non only child,which will inevitably affect and impact the psychology of the first child.Therefore,it is extremely important to understand the psychological status of the first child.Many scholars have paid attention to the psychology of the first child in the second child environment,but the research on the emotional regulation ability of the first child in the second child family is less from the perspective of father’s parenting style and mother’s marital satisfaction.This study will take father’s parenting style and mother’s marital satisfaction as the starting point to explore the influence of father’s parenting style and mother’s marital satisfaction on the emotional regulation ability of the first child in the second child family and the internal influence mechanism.And according to the research results,it provides practical suggestions for the second child family to improve the quality of education and create a good family atmosphere.Based on the analysis of the existing literature,this study investigated 160 first born children in senior primary school by using father rearing style questionnaire,emotion regulation ability questionnaire and mother’s marriage satisfaction questionnaire,to understand the overall situation of their emotion regulation ability and the characteristics of sibling factors,and to explore the emotion regulation ability,father rearing style and marital satisfaction of the first born children in the second child family in senior primary school The relationship between mother’s marital satisfaction.Spss23.0 was used for data analysis,finally,the results are as follows:1.There are significant grade differences in the emotional regulation ability of the first child in the second child families of the senior grade.There are significant differences in the total score of emotional regulation ability and the dimension of cognitive reappraisal in the age difference of siblings.2.There are significant differences in the age difference of siblings and the grade of the first child in the second child families,and there are significant differences in the score of father’s parenting style in the grade of the first child.3.The level of marital satisfaction and parenting style of the second child family were positively correlated with the emotional regulation ability of the first child,and had a significant positive predictive effect;the score of mother marriage satisfaction was negatively correlated with the expression inhibition dimension in the ability of emotional regulation.The conclusions are as follows:The emotion regulation ability of the first child in the second child family of the senior grade of primary school will be improved with the growth of grade,but the emotion regulation ability will not be different because of gender.The larger the age gap between the first born children and their siblings,the better their emotion regulation ability;the smaller the age gap between the first born children and their siblings,the worse their emotion regulation ability.The younger the age difference between siblings is,the higher the mother’s marital satisfaction will be.According to the research conclusions,the following education suggestions are put forward for the second child families.First,according to the level of children’s cognitive development,scientifically and effectively cultivate children’s emotion regulation ability;second,establish a good sibling relationship,play its positive role;third,establish a good relationship between husband and wife,create a friendly and warm family atmosphere.
