Textbooks are the most basic and important teaching materials in teaching activities.The layout and design of textbooks directly affect the quality and literacy of students.Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,in the process of writing textbooks,there have been periods when of " Multiple versions of one standard","one version of one standard",and some subjects with " Multiple versions of one standard" or some with "one version of one standard".During the period of "Multiple versions of one standard",all levels of publishers with great enthusiasm undertook the preparation of textbooks.Thus the composition and publication of textbooks were in the situation of full bloom.However,due to market intervention and the different understanding of textbooks by writers of different publishers,in terms of the writing of primary school Chinese textbooks,due to differences in interpretation and understanding of primary school Chinese curriculum standards,the overall quality of textbooks were affected,which results in social discussion and criticism as well.Under this circumstance,the Ministry of Education decided to follow the discipline to "one version of one standard",and officially and uniformly organized the writing of primary school Chinese textbooks.The "MOE version" is based on the tenth set of compulsory education Chinese curriculum standard experimental textbooks published by the People’s Education Society of the People’s Education Publishing House(hereinafter referred to as hereinafter referred to as The "PEP version"),it inherited the excellent teaching content and retained some classic texts in the original textbooks.There two same versions of the text but with different setting purpose for each section.Therefore,in order to more intuitively reflect the differences between two versions,this study selects the same text in the two versions of the primary school Chinese textbooks for comparative research.In the process of research,the research starts with the layout of the "MOE version" and the "PEP version",and then the two textbooks are compared in detail from the text representation,literacy system,reading aid system,after-school exercises,illustration patterns and design,text and unit positioning,etc.It is concluded from the comparison that the "MOE version" contains Language Construction and Use Thinking Development and Improvement,Aesthetic Appreciation and Creation,Cultural Inheritance and Understanding,that is,the four dimensions of Core competencies.Due to the changes in the Value-oriented of the "MOE version",in order to achieve its writing design goals,promote primary school students’ development of core competencies,and effectively carry out primary school Chinese teaching,teachers should adjust teaching methods and adopt new teaching strategies.Based on this,researchers have proposed specific strategies for the rational use and instructional design of "MOE version",including focusing on the basic role of language construction and use,focusing on the development and improvement of students’ thinking,guiding students to learn about aesthetic appreciation and creation,and inspiring students to understand and inherit the traditional culture,the teaching design needs to be based on core competencies,a thorough and comprehensive interpretation of the "MOE version",and the use of multiple teaching methods to achieve the maximum effectiveness of the "MOE version" and develop the core competencies of students.
