| The related fields of built environment and physical activity have gradually become a new subject of multi-disciplinary comprehensive research. It has been recognized internationally that physical activity can be promoted through good environmental design, and the fields of public health, urban transportation planning and public policy are integrated to promote the development of physical activity-based built environment.Based on the above background, this paper takes three campuses in Nanjing as the research object, and explores the relationship between the built environment of universities and the physical activities of university students,on the basis of sorting out and exploring the factors that affect the physical activity built environment, analyzing the characteristics of the built environment in colleges and universities and its evaluation principles,by using the methods of questionnaire and accelerometer, this paper studies the built environment and physical activities of college students, and explores the perceived factors of the built environment of physical activities-promoting college. The evaluation of the built environment of three universities in Nanjing area is obtained by questionnaire survey, which reflects the deficiency of the built environment of universities, and combined with the data of students physical activity measured by accelerometer,to analyze the physical activity characteristics of students in three universities in Nanjing, this paper uses regression analysis to study the factors that affect physical activities of college students in four dimensions: overall environmental quality, building quality, greening and humanistic landscape, and campus traffic system, this paper probes into the differences of the factors of the built environment that affect the physical activities of college students under the characteristics of the built environment of different schools, and probes into the characteristics of the built environment of the campus that are suitable for the development of students’ physical activities,to promote the physical activity level of college students by combining effective planning methods.76.64% of the students reached the recommended amount of MVPA of the World Health Organization(WHO),i.e.more than 60 minutes per day.All the girls in the three schools were better than the boys. There are differences in 13 built-up environmental indicators among the three schools. After the average value of 19 indicators of the built-up environment is processed according to the corresponding dimensions, there are significant differences in the overall environmental quality and the dimensions of the campus traffic system among the three schools. The conclusions are as follows:(1)for the low intensity physical activity of boys in three schools, the improvement of greening and human landscape can promote the development of low intensity physical activity of the group. For the moderate intensity physical activity of male and female students in the three schools, there was no significant correlation between the two dimensions. For the vigorous-intensity physical activity of male and female students in three schools, the commuting distance in school is inversely related to the vigorous-intensity physical activity of college students. The longer the commuting distance in school is,the smaller the VPA is.(2)The three objective environmental dimensions of overall environmental quality, building quality and traffic system in campus can promote the development of MVPA of students. The improvement of the overall environmental quality and building quality of the campus, and the improvement of the traffic system in the campus can increase the possibility of students’ MVPA reaching the international recommended standard of 60min/d. |
