| In today’s world,the international competition is increasingly fierce,the key to international competition is talent competition.China is fully implementing the strategy of building a strong country and striving to achieve the great goal of building a great modern socialist country that is prosperous,strong,democratic,culturally advanced,harmonious,and beautiful.To make a country strong,we must strengthen education.To build a country,we urgently need a large number of highly qualified and innovative personnel.In 2017,China launched the construction of first-class universities and disciplines,a major strategic decision made by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council.First-class talent training is an important symbol of a first-class university,undergraduate education is at the core of talent training,undergraduate education is the foundation of graduate education,its quality determines the quality of graduate education.Therefore,further study of first-class quality characteristics of undergraduate education,analyzes the quality problems of the first-class university undergraduate course education,and targeted put forward the countermeasures of quality improvement,to better cultivate first-class talents to satisfy the needs of the national development,enhance the level of education development in our country,strengthen the national core competitiveness,It is of great significance to realize the historic leap from a big country in higher education to a powerful country in higher education.This paper takes "first-class universities" as the research scope,"undergraduate education quality characteristics" as the research core,based on the quality chain theory,comprehensive use of literature research method,case analysis,to conduct an in-depth analysis of the quality characteristics of undergraduate education in first-class universities.Firstly,based on a large number of literature,this paper reviews the current research situation at home and abroad,and analyzes the shortcomings of the existing research.Secondly,it defines the core concepts of first-class university,undergraduate education and quality characteristics,and expounds the quality chain theory and its applicability in the field of higher education.Thirdly,taking Harvard University in the United States and the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom as examples,this paper analyzes the undergraduate education of the two world-class universities,analyzes their common educational characteristics,and provides reference for the research.Fourthly,based on the theory of quality chain,this paper analyzes the characteristics and coupling effects of eight key chain nodes of talent cultivation,including demand,goal,policy,students,teachers,resources,management and graduation,and puts forward the quality characteristics of undergraduate education in first-class universities.Fifthly,on the basis of in-depth analysis of the existing problems of undergraduate education in China’s first-class universities,the author puts forward countermeasures to improve the quality of undergraduate education in China’s first-class universities. |
