Abstract/Summary:
Rural economic revitalization must vigorously develop non-agricultural industries in rural areas, and to develop non-agricultural industries,it is necessary to promote a large number of rural surplus labor from agricultural production to non-agricultural employment. At present, the non-agricultural employment situation of rural labor force in China is not optimistic, and there are some problems such as unreasonable employment structure, lack of long-term career planning and insufficient labor security. In order to better promote the rural labor force to engage in non-agricultural work,it is necessary to clarify the factors affecting the non-agricultural employment of rural labor force,so as to encourage more rural labor force to engage in non-agricultural work and improve the living standard.Based on the data of the 2016 China Labor Force dynamic Survey(CLDS)of Sun Yat-sen University, this paper explores the influencing factors of non-agricultural employment of rural labor force.First of all, according to the basic theory of labor employment and the past empirical research on non-agricultural employment of rural labor force, this paper determines the research angle and research object, and further discusses the research subject according to the present situation and problems of non-agricultural employment of rural labor force. Then according to the "Todaro theoretical model ",the regression model of this paper is derived, that is,the transfer of rural labor force from the agricultural sector to the non-agricultural sector is due to the income gap between the two sectors, which is also affected by the human capital, social capital and other factors of the rural labor force. Therefore, the non-agricultural employment of rural labor force is affected by its human capital, social capital and other factors to determine the explained variables and explanatory variables in this paper. The first angle is to compare the rural labor force into rural labor force, returning labor force and migrant labor force, and analyze the influencing factors of non-agricultural employment. The second angle is to subdivide non-agricultural employment into wage employment and self-employment,and then use stratified and multivariate Logit model to compare the influencing factors of rural labor force engaged in agriculture, wage employment and self-employment.Then the robustness analysis was carried out by CLDS2014 years of data and binary Logit model. Finally, the heterogeneity of rural labor force with different health levels and different number of preschool children was analyzed. The results show that human capital has a significant positive impact on the rural labor force engaged in non-agricultural work as a whole.Among them, the stronger the learning ability and technical ability, the more likely the rural labor force is to engage in wage work, and the stronger the cognitive ability, the more willing the rural labor force is to start its own business. After that, the rural labor force with extensive social network is more willing to engage in non-agricultural work, but the higher the degree of social trust and social participation, the rural labor force is more inclined to work in agriculture.Based on this, this paper puts forward the corresponding suggestions.
