Educational belief refers to the views held and believed by teachers on teaching work,teacher role,curriculum,students,learning and other related factors in teaching context and teaching process.It covers teachers’ teaching practice experience and life experience,thus guiding teachers’ thinking and behavior.It supports teachers’ teaching practice and is the key to improve the teaching quality.The formation process of educational belief is long and influenced by many factors,so the cultivation of educational belief in the pre-service stage is particularly important.As an important educational practice process,educational practice has become an important stage to accelerate pre-service teachers to establish their own educational beliefs.Educational practice has more or less an impact on the trainee’s teacher belief,which impinges on the student teacher’s original belief.Starting from this point,this study puts forward two research questions :(1)what is the current situation of the educational belief of student teachers?(2)What are the factors that affect the current educational beliefs of student teachers?Based on the research results at home and abroad,this study constructed the analytical dimension of the educational belief of student teachers,compiled and carried out project analysis,exploratory factor analysis,etc.,and established the questionnaire of educational belief of student teachers.By means of quantitative qualitative mixed research,this study finds the following conclusions:From the current situation,in descriptive analysis,the overall level of educational beliefs of student teachers is relatively optimistic,curriculum belief and teaching beliefs are still weak;the educational beliefs of student teachers are in a dynamic state of change,and there is a gap between declared beliefs and practical beliefs.In the analysis of differences,in addition to natural conditions,students’ social participation,practical teaching experience,and the level of conditions in practice schools are the main variables that cause differences in educational beliefs.From the perspective of influencing factors,The educational beliefs of student teachers are influenced by many factors,such as social background,organizational culture of the school and individual trainee teachers.Among them,the educational practice experience affects the level of educational beliefs,but the two are not absolutely positively correlated;the degree of importance of the internship school affects the level of educational beliefs,and Is the key influencing factor.Therefore,In order to improve the student teachers’ educational belief,it provides constructive solutions from three aspects: adjusting the education curriculum of normal colleges,increasing the importance of practice schools,and strengthening the career planning of normal university students.
