Basic the development of basic education in China is gradually moving towards balance,but the gap between mountainous areas and cities in the development of compulsory education and the lagging development of basic education in ethnic areas still exist.The low academic achievements of students in ethnic mountainous areas at the compulsory education stage are serious,which has caused people to have weak school students.High attention is paid to academic difficulties.This paper describes and analyzes the academic dilemmas of Yao students in G County National High Schools by participating in observation,character interviews,field visits and other research methods,based on the theory of cultural adaptation,discussing the influencing factors of Yao students’ academic difficulties and trying to solve the problems.The first part of the paper introduces the reasons for topic selection,research ideas and methods,theoretical basis,existing research,etc.,introduces in detail the academic dilemma of students at home and abroad and the research status of Yao ethnic group education,and uses field investigation method to study the concrete embodiment of the academic dilemma of Yao students.The second part summarizes the historical evolution and current situation of Yao education.The introduction of selected fields includes the school introduction,the teacher situation,the surrounding environment of the school,and the living environment of Yao junior middle school students in G County Ethnic Middle School,the selected research object.The third part presents the main problems existing in the school education of Yao’s junior high school students,studies the academic dilemma of Yao students.Through interviews with school staff and some Yao students,participatory observation and analysis of the study and life of school Yao junior high school students in school education,and finds that Yao students have culturally unsuitable problems.It is reflected in the fact that Yao students are tired of learning and have low academic moods that are very confused about learning goals;weak learning ability and low academic achievement;few after-school activities;and monotonous boring school life.The investigation found that the academic dilemma faced by Yao students represents to a certain extent the cultural adaptation difficulties encountered by Chinese ethnic students in the process of education.The fourth part deeply analyzes the reasons for the academic difficulties of Yao students from the following three factors: the subtle influence of heavy production over education village culture and Yao early marriage culture in Yaoshan District;low expectations of parents for education,and insufficient investment in education caused by limited cultural standards;personal factors for students include student foundation.Poor,shy and insecure psychological characteristics,language disorders,etc.The level of education in poor mountainous areas of ethnic minority groups is not high,and traditional village culture makes it difficult for students to adapt to the mainstream culture of schools.The influence of parents on educational concepts will be more and more serious under the combined influence of these factors.The fifth part analyzes the fundamental reason why Yao students do not adapt to school education according to the theory of cultural adaptation.The school’s promotion-oriented education model and teachers pay insufficient attention to the cultivation of Yao students’ cultural adaptability.Schools ignore their ethnic cultural specificities,and teachers do not educate and teach according to their cultural differences.The sixth part tries to put forward some specific measures to solve the academic difficulties of Yao students based on the difficult problems and influencing factors of the above-mentioned Yao junior high school students: teachers should enhance cultural sensitivity and update teaching methods to bring them closer to students;schools should pay attention to the cultural adaptation of Yao students and strengthen Yao students.Psychological construction,increasing the form of extracurricular activities,enriching students’ extracurricular life,setting up career courses,and guiding career planning;entering Yao villages to carry out parent education,giving full play to the role model force of excellent students,improving parents’ expectations for education,carrying out cultural knowledge publicity activities in Yao villages,and improving parents’ culture.Literacy.This study tries to find out the reasons for the academic difficulties of Yao students through the investigation of the current situation of secondary school education,Yao village culture and parental ideas in mountainous areas.Through field surveys,it is found that the main reason for the conflict with the mainstream culture of the school is the academic difficulties of Yao students,which is affected by the traditional culture of the ethnic group in Yao villages,and the unsuitability of the school education culture oriented to the mainstream of the school,and according to the specific reasons leading to the academic difficulties.The countermeasures are helpful to solve the academic difficulties of students in ethnic areas.
