Peer communication is one of the important forms of social communication, which is of great significance to children social development. In kindergartens,a few children have poor peer communication, such as being rejected or neglected by peers.Bad peer communication in the long time will have a great negative impact on the physical and mental development of children. This study aims to explore the reasons why young children are rejected in peer communication. In this study,a case study method was used to delve into all aspects of the daily life of the rejected child.Through onsite observation and interviews, the children behavioral characteristics and interaction with others in the park were understood. The collected data was analyzed through grounded theoretical methods.Find twelve primary codes, six secondary codes and eventually form three core codes: the child own development level, lack of social cognition and rules conflicts, through the core code analysis to find out the direct reason why the child was rejected by the peer. The researchers used ecological theory to provide an in-depth explanation of the indirect causes why the child was rejected from the micro-system,the middle system, and the outer system. The study found that in the micro-system,parents ’attention to the development of children abilities, characterization of children personality, and social interaction will affect the social status of children;teacher-to-child interaction, attention to children, and inappropriate behavior of teachers will also cause children are rejected in the group.Peer prejudice against children, maintain social status, and conflicts with material perception are also one of the reasons for the rejection of children. In the intermediary system, the relationship between parents and kindergarten, the attitude of parents to their peers, and the relationship between parents and parents will affect the social interaction of young children. In the outer system, lack of emotional interaction with children due to busy work is one of the reasons why young children are rejected by their peers.Regarding the interpretation of the reasons why children were rejected, the researchers made two educational suggestions: starting from the children themselves, improving the children social status and starting from around the children, and improving the children ecosystem.
