The children of migrant workers refer to the children of urban migrant workers who work and live in cities but have not obtained urban household registration and are in the stage of compulsory education. In recent years,a large number of migrant workers have been pouring into large and medium sized cities, and the proportion of their children enrolled in different schools in the city proper has been increasing year by year. For children of migrant workers, the huge impact on their growth is not limited to school education, but also the need for good home-school co-education to ensure the better growth of children. The children of migrant workers have always been the main object of family education deficiency. Therefore,it is more and more important for migrant children to pay attention to family education.School, family and society are the environment for children’s growth. The formation and development of students’ mental health and personality are inseparable from the deep participation of parents and family education. The middle school period is the period connecting the preceding and the following. It is also the critical period for children’s growth,as well as the critical period for children’s thinking, character and habit formation, which will have a profound impact on children’s future growth.Especially in the junior middle school period, children need more parents’ guidance, help and education.Teachers cannot replace parents, and school education cannot replace home education. Therefore, family education is an integral and important part of the whole education system, and good education needs to start from family education. This paper takes The Branch school of S Junior Middle School in Changzhou city as the research object.Based on the current research results on family education of migrant workers’ children and my own practical experience, this study adopts the narrative research method to analyze and put forward corresponding countermeasures to improve the family education of migrant workers’ children. As the backbone teacher of the general School of Changzhou S Junior Middle School, the researcher was sent to the branch school of the Group as an exchange teacher. The case school is the school where the researcher works.Through narrative expression, the problems of family education in migrant families are presented from three aspects:family education, social education and school education. In terms of family education, educational input, educational mode and educational expectation are the key influencing factors. In terms of social education, family income, urban and rural culture, and social system are of vital importance to family education, among which household registration and real estate also have important influences on the families and individuals they belong to.In school education,parent-teacher relationship, evaluation method and peer influence also play an important role. However,it can be seen that the factors affecting the family education of children from migrant families in urban areas include the complexity and particularity of students, the misunderstanding and lack of education of parents, the limitation of teachers’ evaluation methods and communication ability, and the deviation of social value system and management system. Therefore,on the basis of the education of migrant children family interview interpretation and conclusion, from the perspective of cooperative education among family, school, community and other aspects, the paper puts forward improving strategies, leading to the social attention for migrant workers’ children in the early middle period of growth, attaches great importance to the family education status of urban migrant workers family, from school education,home-school co-education and social education from three aspects as much as possible to fully ensure the quality of the family education of migrant children, and to make sure that migrant children can grow better and better. This paper takes qualitative research as the main method and conducts a case study through interview.Due to the limited samples, the research conclusion can only be interpreted to a certain extent. Therefore, there are inevitable limitations, which require further and broader discussion in the future to expand the research of this topic.
