The development of social civilization promoted the emergence of special educational institutions-kindergartens.As an important part of basic education,kindergarten education has received extensive attention from society in recent years.Parents racked their brains to choose a suitable kindergarten for their children.It seems that after children are sent to kindergartens,the important task of education is transferred from the family to the kindergarten.They ignore that education has never existed independently,and it is closely related to the family and society.As parents of children,parents are an indispensable part of kindergarten education.Therefore,promoting parents’ participation in kindergarten education has become an important topic of educational research.As parents pay more attention to kindergarten education,more and more excellent foreign curriculum systems have been introduced into China.The IBPYP project is one of them and has been widely recognized and recognized by preschool education workers and parents.In this context,the researchers,based on their own experience in IBPYP project kindergartens,combined with parent questionnaire interviews and management interviews,discussed the current situation,advantages and disadvantages of parents participating in kindergartens under the IBPYP project,and put forward targeted suggestions Reasonable and feasible suggestions.The research consists of the following six chapters:In the first chapter,I briefly introduced the reasons for selecting the topic,determined the core concepts by analyzing and collating domestic and foreign research literature,established the research content and research questions,and then explained the research method.In the second chapter,I analyze the theoretical basis of parents participating in kindergarten education.This chapter provides sufficient theoretical support for this research from the three directions which includes human development ecology theory,parent participation theory,and social interaction theory.In the third chapter,I introduce the basic situation of the kindergarten and its family which presents the current situation of parental participation in kindergarten education from four aspects:parents’ willingness to participate,participation influencing factors,participation methods,and types of activities.In the fourth chapter,I analyze the mode of parent participation in kindergarten education under the IBPYP curriculum.From the perspective of the IBPYP curriculum,I analyze the kindergarten’s activity types and participation patterns.In the fifth chapter,I analysis the parental involvement in this kindergarten,including advantages,problems and possible reasons.This chapter explains its advantages from four aspects:rich parent participation methods,extensive participation content,kindergarten plays an important role in family education,open value orientation,and appreciate the initiative of parents/teachers.And in the last chapter,I come up with some suggestions for promoting family to participate kindergarten education.
