Since the reform and opening-up,China’s economy has grown rapidly, and the demand for labor has continued to expand. The large-scale labor force has moved from traditional economic sectors to modern economic sectors, and the efficiency of labor allocation has been improved. However, restricted by the household registration system and related supporting systems under the dual economic system,China has formed a large-scale floating population.National statistics show that the scale of China’s floating population has continued to expand, from 6.57 million in 1982 to 247 million in 2015,reaching a peak, and then decreasing.By 2019,the floating population dropped to 236 million. In recent years,China’s economy has entered a period of important strategic adjustments, and new urbanization has continued to advance.Although the scale of the rural-urban floating population has declined, the scale and proportion of the urban-urban floating population have continued to rise since 2000.Increased from 45 million to 93 million in 2015,and the proportion increased from 20.8% to 37.9%.In the future, the main direction of migrant population flow is from small and medium-sized cities to large cities, megacities, and megacities, and it will become an important factor affecting China’s population structure, the efficiency of human resource allocation, and urban economic development.Scholars in the existing research are more focused on the rural-urban floating population, but the research on the urban-urban floating population is relatively insufficient. For this reason, this article intends to use the dynamic monitoring data of the floating population to analyze the employment status of the urban-urban floating population.,Career choice, employment income, and its influencing factors to conduct preliminary analysis.Using binary logistic regression and multiple logistic regression to study the influencing factors of urban-urban migrant population employment status, occupational choice, and monthly income level from the perspective of personal characteristics and mobility characteristics, the following main conclusions are drawn:First, more than 80% of the urban-urban floating population is in employment.Among them, the proportion of people with resident registration, male and unmarried population in employment is higher than that of the control group;at the same time, the proportion of the urban-urban floating population aged 20-49 years old is higher, and it increases with the level of education.,The expansion of the scope of mobility and the increase in the scale of the cities in which the inflows flow into the city-the proportion of the urban floating population in the industry is higher.Second, the urban-urban floating population is mainly engaged in commercial service industries.Compared with the population engaged in production and transportation, the proportion of non-agricultural registered, unmarried, and female populations engaged in public and professional technical and commercial services is higher than the control group, and the level of education has increased from elementary school to university or above— The proportion of urban migrants engaged in public and professional and technical employment is higher, and the proportion of those with a high school/secondary education degree engaged in business services is even higher;at the same time,urban-to-urban migrants aged 20-49 are engaged in public and The proportion of professional skills is lower than the control group, and the proportion of urban-urban migrants aged 16-49 who are engaged in commercial services is also lower than that of the control group. The scope of mobility has decreased and the scale of inflow cities has increased.Professional technology and business services account for a higher proportion.Third, the monthly income level of the urban-urban migrant population is dominated by the middle-income level. The monthly income level of the men and the married population is higher than that of the women and unmarried population. With the improvement of education level, the expansion of the scope of migration and the inflow of cities As the scale increases, the monthly income level of the urban-urban migrant population gradually increases, and the monthly income level of the30-39-year-old population is higher than that of the other age groups. As the current migration time shortens, the monthly income level of the urban-urban migrant population gradually declines.
