| Scientific quality evaluation method is an important means to diagnose and improve the quality of childcare and education.High-quality interaction that supports the healthy development of children’s thinking and emotions is a necessary condition for children’s learning and development.However,China still lacks relevant specialized and operable kindergarten education quality evaluation tools However,China still lacks relevant specialized and operable kindergarten education quality evaluation tools.The Sustained Shared Thinking and Emotional Well-being(SSTEW)Rating Scale is compiled by Iram Siraj et al.It is the latest international observation scale to evaluate the quality of care and education in the field of social emotion for children.It contains 5 subscales and 14 items,which is highly instructive and operational.This study mainly referring to the localization research paradigm of ECERS system tools,designed to preliminary explore the applicability of the SSTEW scale in our country.Identify the applicable and inapplicable items,analyze the reasons for the inapplicable items,and provide a reference for the development of the localization scale.At the same time,analyze the status quo of the scores of our kindergartens in the applicable items,and put forward corresponding suggestions based on the existing problems.In this research,the observation method,interview method and questionnaire survey method are mainly adopted.Observation and measurement of 84 sample classes in 15 kindergartens in three circles in Chengdu were conducted.The observation process was supplemented by structured interviews.Then 50 practical experts were issued expert questionnaires to solicit their views on the suitability of SSTEW in China..Perform project analysis,confirmatory factor analysis,and internal consistency analysis on the data collected by observation and measurement,and perform content validity index analysis on the data collected by the questionnaire to test the reliability and validity of the scale,so as to find appropriate and inappropriate index.According to the results of data analysis,"Project 6","Project 7" and "Project 13" do not meet the statistically appropriate standard.Consider deleting them.,after deleting entries,the ratio of chi-square degrees of freedom(χ df)is 1.459,Standardized Root Mean Square Residual(SRMR)is 0.055,Root Mean Square Error of Approximation(RMSEA)is 0.074,Comparative Fit Index(CFI)was 0.946,Tucker-Lewis Index(TLI)was 0.917,and the Cronbach’s Salphaa value of the remaining eleven items in the scale was 0.872.The deleted scale had good reliability and validity."Project 6","Project 7" and "Project13" have unsuitable factors in my country.For this reason,the researcher interviewed some of the principals and teachers of participating kindergartens and teachers of other kindergartens,with a view to in-depth exploration of the reasons for inappropriateness.The researcher analyzed the status quo of the scores of unsuitable items and the relationship between them and the level of kindergarten,combined with the interview data,and concluded that different cultures,educational guidelines,educational concepts,and objective conditions are important reasons that affect suitability.Therefore,in the revision of the scale,the researchers suggest that teachers encourage listening and understanding among children as the evaluation focus,based on the actual situation of my country’s kindergarten education,and put personalized indicators on higher-level evaluation scales to clarify Ambiguous evaluation indicators,flexible adjustment of "one size fits all" evaluation method.At the same time,the researchers centered on the status quo of the kindergarten’s scores in suitable items,and based on the existing problems,the following suggestions were made: flexibly deal with the relationship between the plan and children’s needs,effectively cultivate the children’s ability to deal with conflict issues,and enhance the ability to support children’s continuous shared thinking.Improve the content and methods of evaluation. |
