The two material bases of human existence and development are material reproduction and population reproduction.Employment is an important way to realize material reproduction.Reasonable fertility level is the key factor to realize population reproduction.Female employment is an important indicator to measure a country’s economic development and social civilization.However,in order to control the excessive expansion of population scale after the reform and opening up,China has implemented a family planning policy.The reduction of newly born population has led to the aggravation of population aging in recent years and has gradually entered an aging society.Among them,the employment rate of Chinese women is declining year by year,especially for rural women,a group that is easy to be ignored.Under this background,the paper explores and analyzes the influencing factors of rural women’s employment.As rural women are greatly influenced by the traditional division of labor in rural areas,which is "male-dominated and female-dominated",they mainly bear more family burdens such as bearing children and caring for the elderly.Therefore,from the perspective of family burden,this paper analyzes and studies the influencing factors of family burden on rural women’s employment,and provides reference for the rapid promotion of rural women’s employment.Specifically,this article starts from the following parts: Firstly,it sorts out and studies the research documents at home and abroad,defines the core concepts and theoretical basis involved in this article,and discusses them from the theoretical level;Then,it analyzes and studies the current employment situation of this group of rural women and points out the existing problems in their current employment.Next,from the perspective of family burden,this paper analyzes the theoretical factors of family burden on rural women’s employment,and from the two dimensions of child-bearing and care for the elderly,it respectively analyzes its internal relationship with rural women’s employment.Next,using CGSS data in 2015,the logit model is used to analyze the impact of family burden on rural women’s employment.The impact of family burden on rural women’s employment is empirically tested from the following dimensions: the number of children born,the number of elderly people cared for,age,health level and family income with education level.Finally,based on the above analysis and research,the paper puts forward some reasonable suggestions to promote rural women’s employment.Through systematic research,the main conclusions are as follows: First,there is a significant inverted U-shaped relationship between the number of children and the employment situation of rural women.When there are 2.56 children,the employment situation of rural women reaches its peak.When having 1 to 2.56 children,the employment situation of rural women will increase with the increase in the number of children born.When having more than 2.56 children,the employment situation of rural women will decrease with the number of children born.Second,the employment of rural women decreases with the increase in the number of elderly care.Third,the age of rural women and the employment situation of rural women show a significant inverted U-shaped relationship.When the age of rural women reaches 50.85 years old,the employment situation reaches its peak.At the age of 22 to 50.85,the employment situation of rural women will increase with age,and at the age of 50.85 to 60,the employment situation of rural women will decrease with age.
