With the continuous deepening of the reform of China’s sports industry,all relevant departments continue to steadily promote the implementation of related policies and accelerate the development of China’s sports industry.And domestic sports events are also in a state of continuous development,major young events are springing up like mushrooms.The Yunnan-ASEAN Badminton Tournament,as one of the "Engineering" series of competitions,is jointly operated by the Yunnan Provincial Government,Yunnan Badminton Association,and Yunnan Hongliang Culture Communication Co.,Ltd.The Yunnan-ASEAN Badminton Tournament of the tournament company was officially launched in 2017.As a young tournament,the author found after a half-year investigation and study of the tournament company that there are many operational developments in the Yunnan-ASEAN Badminton Tournament.Need to be improved.In the current environment of increasing competition for badminton brand events,this article applies the theory and methods of brand sports event construction,based on an investigation of the current status of the event,analyzes the existing problems,and proposes countermeasures and suggestions for brand event construction.In order to further improve the development mechanism of the event and improve the sustainable competitiveness of the Yunnan-ASEAN badminton hegemony.This article uses questionnaire survey method,participation observation method and literature data method to conduct in-depth research on the status quo and existing problems of constructing the Yunnan-ASEAN badminton competition brand event.By sorting out and analyzing some issues and research data,the following conclusions are drawn and summarized.On the one hand,as far as the status quo of the event is concerned,the operation of the event is already in a relatively stable state and has received widespread attention.(2)As far as event operation is concerned,the main body of event operation already has a relatively stable model.(3)As far as the brand buildingof the event is concerned,the event already has a clear and specific brand positioning,a unique brand identification,a clear brand promotion model,and an industrial extension model of brand value.On the other hand,there are some problems in the development of the tournament.(1)The level of regional economic development and the level of competition in the tournament are different from those in other regions,and the level of running the tournament needs to be improved.(2)The ability to coordinate the internal resources of the game operation needs to be improved.Whether it is the management of the game itself,or the coordination of human and material resources,there are still certain problems.Making the Yunnan ASEAN-Badminton Tournament into a brand event is a long-term and dynamic development project.The core content of the event is products and services.It is necessary to continue to explore and explore to make it one of the best in badminton competitions in Yunnan Province,and gradually achieve the positioning goal of the largest badminton competition in Yunnan that the civilians participate in.At present,the Yunnan-ASEAN competition has begun to build brand events.In the context of the establishment of the competition,the competition system and the scale of the competition have been developed,and a relatively complete competition system has been established;in the promotion of brand operations,it has been promoted in the form of training camps and station races,and has achieved certain results,Has attracted many contestants at home and abroad.In terms of brand operation,the main players of the event,through the cooperation of the government and the society,build a platform for local cities to display business cards and exchanges of folk sports culture according to local human geography advantages.In terms of brand extension,event operators are developing a coupled industry of sports events by leveraging the overall influence of the event and potential event-related resources.In the future,the development of this event should coordinate the operation and management of the event,clarify the brand positioning strategy,increase the promotionof the event,ensure the implementation of the promotion work,fully investigate the current complex sports event market,define the competitive advantages of the league,and establish Differentiating brand building strategies,highlighting the concept of running the game,in the brand extension,we must seek truth from facts and play the platform role of the event.
