| Labor mobility is one of the most important issues that have attracted wide attention from all walks of life.According to the traditional theory, labor mobility will bring about the narrowing of income gap and the effect of economic convergence. However, its mechanism and empirical research based on China’s reality are still worthy of further discussion. This paper builds a theoretical model based on the perspective of educational human capital and intergenerational differences, and uses three phases of micro-data from the dynamic monitoring survey of China’s floating population to conduct an empirical study to analyze the economic convergence effect of different generations’ labor flows from the perspective of higher education.Provide an empirical basis for reducing the living standard of the city, narrowing the income gap between urban and rural migrant labor, and achieving economic convergence.Based on the perspective of educational human capital, this paper constructs a theoretical model, and uses the data of three periods of China Migrants Dynamic Survey to conduct empirical research, analyzes the economic convergence effect of labor mobility from the perspective of education, and provides empirical basis for further improving the living standard of the floating population in China, improving the quality of life of the migrants, and balancing urban and rural development to achieve economic convergence.Firstly, this dissertation analyzed the current situation of migration and income gap between urban and rural areas in China, and found that the scale of floating population is changing year by year, among which the migrant workers are increasing year by year;at the same time, with the development of migration, the income gap between urban and rural residents is not converging;at the same time, the migration between urban and rural areas in China is not converging.Meanwhile the education level of the migrants is constantly improving.Secondly, according to the results of the current situation analysis, combined with human capital theory, population migration theory and life cycle theory, this paper makes a theoretical analysis on the differences of educational human capital between urban and rural floating population and the effect of labor mobility and economic convergence from the perspective of education, and then puts forward relevant theoretical hypotheses based on the above theoretical analysis results and theoretical research mechanism.Thirdly, based on the measurement of the current situation and theoretical analysis, based on the perspective of educational human capital, this paper uses the three periods of micro large sample the data of China Migrants Dynamic Survey, and uses OLS and Heckman-Ⅳ respectively to analyze the economic convergence effect of labor migration from the perspective of education. The results show that education,as an important way to form human capital, can effectively improve the income level of the floating population in different years and promote economic convergence, but there are regional and urban-rural differences in the economic convergence effect of education human capital on the floating population in different generations. Finally, based on the above theoretical research and empirical analysis results, combined with relevant research, discusses the conclusions of this dissertation, and practically analyzes the main contributions and shortcomings of this project. From the three perspectives of the central government, local government and migrants, this paper puts forward relevant policy suggestions to promote the construction of modern education, achieve a fair distribution, and promote the economic convergence effect of labor migration in China. |
