In this era of rapid development of information,oral communication bears the main function and value of social interaction,and good oral communication ability is the basic quality of modern citizens.In such a background,every country attaches great importance to the oral communication ability of primary and secondary school students,and even rises to the height of national strategy.In recent years,our country has attached great importance to oral communication,and has listed oral communication as an important part of Chinese teaching,which is as important as reading,writing and literacy.Although our country has been vigorously advocating language teaching should pay attention to the cultivation of students’ oral communication ability,but the teaching effect is not optimistic,especially in the relatively scarce educational resources in rural areas,oral communication teaching has not been given due attention,there are still many problems.In order to understand the current situation of Chinese oral communication teaching in rural primary schools,the author takes 10 rural primary schools in Zaozhuang City as the base of investigation,selects pupils(grade 3 to 6)and Chinese teachers as the objects of investigation,adopts questionnaires,interviews,surveys to obtain relevant data,and collates and analyses the data through Excel tables.Combined with the teachers’ interview records,it shows the real situation of oral communication teaching,in order to analyze the real situation of oral communication teaching.This research is carried out from two aspects of teachers and students from the result of the investigation we can see that there are the following problems in the oral communication teaching of 10 rural primary schools in Zaozhuang City: the students are not active and enthusiastic in class,their oral expression ability is on the low side,they are not good at communication,shy,and their Putonghua is not standard;the teacher prepares a lesson insufficiently,the teaching method is unitary,the teaching goal is not clear,the classroom appraisal language use is improper,teachers’ professional quality in oral communication is low;Schools do not attach importance to oral communication,lack of oral communication learning environment,less class hours of oral communication.The reasons for the above problems are summarized and analyzed,and the reasons for the problems are attributed to the students’ lack of self-confidence in oral communication,lack of language,lack of listening,and lack of language environment in oral communication.Teachers in the teaching of the problems attributed to: non-standard Putonghua teachers,teaching a single model,the importance of teaching oral communication is not enough,the lack of a systematic evaluation system.The school aspect existence question attribute: The school does not take seriously to the spoken language human relations,to the language teacher spoken language human relations teaching aspect teaching skill training work does not arrive.In view of the above question’s suggestion,the author carries on the elaboration from the teacher,the school two aspects.Suggestions for teachers: improve the level of Putonghua,enrich teaching model standardize the evaluation system,cultivate students’ self-confidence,enlarge the students’ vocabulary cultivate students’ listening ability.Suggestions for schools: strengthen the importance of oral communication,increase the training of Chinese teachers’ oral communication teaching ability,and create a good language environment.
