Since 2000,under the background of more aging population, faster rate of aging than other countries, uneven spatial distribution of aging and mismatch between the speed of aging and ecomomic developmeng in China. As a result, the inversion of urban and rural aging is increasingly significant, and it has gradually become a prominent problem affecting the development of social, economic, and population fields. For an economy, under normal circumstances, the higher the level of economic development, the deeper the ageing.Obviously, the level of economic development in cities is higher than that in rural areas.According to the foregoing logic, the proportion of the elderly population should be greater than that in rural areas. However,China’s aging urban-rural distribution is exactly the opposite, that is,the inversion pattern of urban-rural aging.Of course, this is not unique to China. However, the inversion pattern of urban-rural aging has a significant and farreaching impact on economic and social development. Moreover, unlike other developed countries facing this problem,China is still the largest developing country in the world. Therefore,an in-depth study of the generation logic, dynamic mechanism, development history, relevant characteristics, international experience and inspiration, and socio-economic impact of the inversion pattern of urban-rural aging will help us understand the logic of the development of the Chinese economy in the future period in a more comprehensive and comprehensive manner.Grasping how to raise the level of economic development under the predicament of "aging before getting rich",more effectively promote the coordinated and integrated development of urban and rural socio-economic development, and design and implement social, economic, and population policies more reasonably. Therefore, this article attempts to conduct economic research on the problem of the inversion pattern of urban and rural aging. The specific research is divided into six parts:The first part is the introduction, mainly explain the research background, significance, idea and methods, possible innovations and deficiencies of the article.Sort out relevant literature at home and abroad to inspire the research ideas of the article; The second chapter is generation logic and affecting mechanism of aging, mainly use the theoretical basics of the article to build the analysis framework of the article and elaborate from three aspects:population transition and aging, selective migration and urban-rural inversion and the cumulative locking effect of inversion.Analyze the possible impact of aging and urban-rural inversion on economic and social develompeng, such as economic momentum, social security systems and human capital; The third chapter is international empirical research and inspiration, mainly analyze the prevalence of the aging of the urban and rural population in the world and the relationship with per capita GDP,urbanization, and aging.Analyze the conditions and policies of Japan and India to provide China with experience and lessons; The fourth chapter is descriptive statistics and spatial data analysis based on Chinese experience and facts, mainly use China’s population data from 2000 to 2017 to carry on descriptive analysis of urban-rural inversion.Lay the foundation for subsequent empirical analysis.Describe the impact of inversion on China and summarize relevant policy trends; The fifth chapter is empirical and econometric analysis, mainly use the data of the National Bureau of Statistics to analyze the factors affecting the aging difference between urban and rural areas,to explore the impact of inversion on the economy and society; The sixth chapter is main conclusions and policy recommendations, mainly summarize the relevant conclusions of this article based on the previous research results and propose reasonable policy recommendations.Through research,it is found that:first, the inversion pattern of urban and rural aging is an ubiquitous phenomenon all over the world and the overall gaps are expanding;Second, the inversion pattern of urban and rural aging has exister in China for a long time, the better the economic development, the higher the level of urbanization, and the more serious the aging, the greater the difference between urban and rural aging;Third, the global spatial distribution of the gap is heterogeneous and has obvious spatial clustering characteristics;Four, the size of the floating population and the natural population growth rate have a significant impact on the gap between urban and rural areas, while the gap between urban and rural areas have a significant effect on the growth rate of GDP and pension insurance coverage,.Moreover, the human capital stock and accumulation speed in urban and rural areas are further widened. From the perspective of human capital accumulation, this may make the urban-rural economic gap even more significant.
