Analysis Of Chongqing Tourism Development Based On Multivariate Statistical Methods

Chongqing’s tourism industry has developed rapidly since the Twelfth Five-Year Plan,especially after 2016,and has ushered in explosive growth.Chongqing’s economic development has always relied on secondary industries such as industry and manufacturing.However,starting in 2017,with the rise of the short video platform and the promotion of the “Internet Red Cities”,Chongqing began to vigorously develop the tourism industry.In recent years,the development of Chongqing’s tourism industry has indeed entered a favorable situation and has achieved gratifying results.However,as a late-developing city for tourism,its infrastructure is not yet perfect.So how does tourism contribute to chongqing’s economy? The current status of Chongqing ’s tourism development is similar to 31 provinces,municipalities,and autonomous regions in the country,and how to rank among them requires qualitative and quantitative analysis.The first chapter briefly explains the background and significance of the selected topic,and then introduces the general content of the research,the research methods used in similar articles at home and abroad and the possible innovations.The second chapter introduces the understanding of the meaning of the word tourism and some resources of sightseeing in Chongqing.And Chongqing tourism industry related index data in 2018;Chapter 3 draws word cloud diagrams of the three planning texts of Chongqing’s tourism development to understand the focus of development during the period;Chapter 4 discusses the tourism in chongqing on the meaning of regional economy;Chapter 5 selected 9 most direct indicators related to tourism for cluster analysis;Chapter 6 continued to improve the indicator variable system in the light of cluster analysis,and quantitatively used principal component analysis and entropy The comprehensive TOPSIS comprehensive evaluation method has respectively obtained the specific rankings of Chongqing in 31 regions;Chapter 7 gives some proposes about how to strengthen Chongqing’s tourism based on the previous analysis results.Tourism is becoming more and more important to regional economy.But the second category of regions,to which chongqing’s tourism belongs,is roughly in the middle level of the country,whether it is obtained by the principal component analysis or the TOPSIS comprehensive evaluation method based on information entropy.Chongqing ranks in the middle.This shows that although Chongqing’s tourism industry has developed rapidly,overall there is still a lot of room for improvement due to its late development and low base.We need to balance regional development and make use of tourism to lift people out of poverty.We also should to stabilize the market and raise the level of public service.It is also necessary to rationally use short video platforms and deeper dissemination of the city’s image to attract more tourists,and ultimately achieve comprehensive and sustainable development.In short,Chongqing’s tourism has a promising future.
