The evaluation of college students ’ ideological and moral qualities is an important part of college students’ ideological and political education.It is also an important part of talent training in colleges and universities.It is indispensable for optimizing the talent training system and promoting the healthy development of college students.To evaluate the ideological and moral qualities of college students scientifically,objectively and fairly,it is necessary to establish a scientific and complete ideological and moral quality evaluation index system.This is the logical starting point for the evaluation work to be carried out smoothly and to achieve results.However,people’s ideological and moral qualities are implicit,concealed,complex and volatile.There has always been a debate in the academic community about the ideological and moral qualities,that is whether to evaluate,can you comment,and how to evaluate scientifically.In practice,it shows a serious "dual opposition" tendency.One tendency is fearing the inoperability of ideological and moral quality evaluation and falling into the dilemma of "neglecting evaluation" and "letting go".The other is a serious "management" tendency.It shows thecharacteristics of "uniformity","no one in the eyes" and "only distinguishing".Therefore,based on the new era,new situation and new task,it is especially necessary to explore and construct a more scientific and perfect evaluation index system for college students’ ideological and moral qualities.The article is devoted to improving the scientificity and objectivity of the evaluation of college students ’ideological and moral qualities,using the literature research method to sort out the connotation and role of the evaluation index system of college students’ ideological and moral qualities.And it clarifies the theoretical analysis framework.On this basis,the questionnaire was prepared by using the knowledge of pedagogy,psychology,sociology,statistics and other related disciplines.The questionnaire is to investigate the design of moral quality evaluation indicators and the allocation of indicator weights.The research believes that the current ideological and moral quality evaluation index system has the problems of emphasizing identity requirements over diversity needs,emphasizing instrumental values over ontological values,emphasizing absolute standards over relative standards,and inadequate timeliness.Based on the socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era,the modernization of higher education has entered a new journey,and students’ ideas are becoming more and more diverse,we should clarify the basic principles for constructing an index system for the evaluation ofideological and moral qualities of college students,and draw on the common methods for constructing index systems.A more scientific and appropriate evaluation index system for the ideological and moral qualities of college students is established from the party’s and national talent training goals,the structure of students’ ideological and moral character,the characteristics of students’ age,and the development of ideological and moral character.
