Analysis Of The Application Of Inside-out Forehand In The Three Types Of Court About The Outstanding Women Tennis Single Players In The World

Research purpose: With the development of tennis,the masculine trend in tactics of professional women tennis is becoming obvious,more and more players are using the Inside-out forehand frequently.Based on the tactical level,the applications of the Inside-out forehand on different types of court are studied among outstanding women tennis singles.The attack tactic of “Service + inside-out forehand” is analyzed as a special application form.Research methods: By using the literature method,expert interview method,video observation method,and mathematical statistics method,the data of the 30 grand slam competitions from 2017 to 2019 is collected and analyzed,Chi-square test is used to compare whether the types of court are related to the usage of hitting areas and the results.Research results: 1.Inside-out forehand.(1)Inside-out forehand is not used frequently among the outstanding women singles.Both the using frequency and the effect of this tactic are clay court > hard court > grass court.Although the hitting effect on the grass is the worst among the three,it is the most aggressive with the percentage of “winner” up to 29.21%.(2)Hitting area: There are significant differences in the numbers of using Inside-out forehand in each hitting area on different types of court(P<0.01).The numbers of the hitting show a decreasing trend from the center to the sidelines of the courts.The using rates in each area on clay courts are much higher than those of hard courts and grass courts.The highest using rate is in 3I+1 area.The uses of Inside-out forehand in hard and grass courts are concentrated in 4C and 3I+1 areas.On 4C and 3I+1 hitting areas,the results are related to court types.(3)Shooting direction:In 4C,3I+1 and 3I+2 areas,the percentages of shooting towards the two directions on clay courts are almost the same,but those of the inside-out direction are much higher on hard and grass courts.There are different hitting effects in different types of court.On clay and hard courts,the hitting effects are satisfactory on both directions in all the hitting areas.On the grass,the shooting effects on both directions are very good in 4C areas,but it has a poor effect on shooting inside-out direction in 3I+1 area,(4)About the placement: The placements of “winner” on clay and hard courts are mainly in OUT1,IN1 and OUT 4,while they are relatively widely distributed on grass.The placements of “advantage” covered wider areas on all courts,and the numbers of the “advantage”are more in the areas near the sidelines and base line.2.The attack tactic of “Service + inside-out forehand”:(1)The attack tactic of“Service + inside-out forehand” is a special application form of Inside-out forehand,Both the using rates and hitting effects on three types of court are : grass court>hard court > clay court.(2)Service area: there are not differences in using this tactic between the service areas on different court types(P>0.05).On the advantage court,there are differences among different court types with the hitting results(P<0.01).(3)On the deuce court,the inside corner is the mainly serving zone on clay and hard courts.However,both the inside and outside corners are mainly the serving zones on the grass.The following third shooting with Inside-out forehand is mainly towards the inside-out direction on all the court types.In the six combinations,“serving to the inside corner +inside-out direction” is used the most frequently with the best effect on clay courts.On hard courts,the using rate of “serving to the inside corner + inside-out” is higher,but the most effective combination is “serving to the inside corner + inside-in”.On the grass,“serving to the inside corner + inside-out” and “serving to the outside corner +inside-out” combinations are more frequently used,the best effective combination is“serving to the inside corner+ inside-out”.(4)In the advantage court,the outside corner is the major serving placement area on all types of court.The percentages of the following Inside-out forehand towards the two directions are similar.In the six combinations,on clay courts,“serving to the outside corner + inside-in” is used frequently but with worse result,while the result of “serving to the inside corner +inside-in” is much better.On hard courts,“serving to the outside corner +inside-in/out”combinations are higher,of which the effect of “serving to the outside corner +insideout” is the best.On the grass,“serving to the outside corner +inside-in” combination is used the most frequently with the best effect.Research conclusions:(1)Inside-out forehand is used less frequently among the outstanding women tennis players,however,the effect is quite good,scoring rate is much higher than missing rate,and the attack tactic of the “Service + inside-out forehand” is a special form in the applications of it.(2)On the three court types,both the using rate and shooting effect are clay court>hard court>grass court.And the attack tactic of the “Service + Inside-out forehand” shows exactly the opposite trend.(3)Inside-out forehand is mostly suitable on clay courts.On the areas of 4C,3I+1 and3I+2,it is used very often and has a good effect.On the hard,it is used more frequently with better results on 4C and 3I+1 areas.And on the grass,there are good effects only when it is used on 4C area.(4)In all the combinations of the attack tactic of “Service+ Inside-out forehand”,players are used to “serving the inside corner + inside-out” on the deuce court,and “serving the outside corner + inside-in” on the advantage court,which means they mainly use the combination of serving to the opponent’s backhand positions and then shooting the directions of their vacuous area on the other side.The grass is the most suitable court for the attack tactic of “Service + Inside-out forehand”.
