Comparative Analysis On Technical And Tactical Characteristics Of Chinese Excellent Table Tennis Players Lin Gaoyuan And Wang Chuqin

Employing the method of literature review,video observation,statistics analysis and so on,this study took domestic elite youth table tennis player Lin Gaoyuan and Wang Chuqin as research subject,choosing 7 matches won and 7matches lost of each player from 2018-2019 important domestic and international matches to research on the similar points and different points of technique & tactic features so as to reach an comprehensive analysis on indicators of their three phases method and the transitional strikes,deepening the understanding of Lin’s and Wang’s technique & tactic features,found present problems and provide feasible suggestions for future development.Through related study and analysis,the major conclusions were as follows:(1)Looking from three phases overall,in matches won,Lin and Wang had similar using rates of the three phases in which both players’ best phases was service and attack phase.Though Wang had better performance than Lin in receive and attach phase,both players ’ had better attack after service ability than their attack after receive ability.In matches lost,scoring rates of all three phases decreased,but the overall situation was similar with that of the winning matches,and attack after service phase was still both players’ advantages.(2)Looking from single strike techniques,in attack after service phase,for matches won,both players could control their opponents by using the combo of short balls & short balls near the end-line,or the combo of short balls with backhand long shot,which created positive effect.In matches lost,Lin performed bad in short services,while Wang’s long services received much less advantages compared to matches won.In stalemate phase,Lin performed better than Wang,and Lin had stronger forehand and backhand ability during this phase,but Lin lack of powerful single strike.Meanwhile,Wang had better single strike quality than Lin.(3)Looking from transitional technique,in matches won,Lin performed better than Wang in the link between each strike,with small movement magnitude,fast transition between forehand & backhand,and stable transition.Meanwhile,Wang had better single strike quality,however,relative weak transition ability between each strike.In matches lost,Lin had obvious quality drop on 1st strike attack and 3rd strike attack,and also a decrease of quality on backhand stalemate rally ability.Wang’s transition performance decreased in matches lost compared with matches won.
