Research purposes: Aerobic oxidation energy supply is the main energy source for karate kumite athletes in competitions.The proportion of aerobic oxidation energy supply for male and female athletes is as high as 75.2% and 64.9%.Aerobic energy supply ability is very important for athletes’ physical recovery and maintaining high-intensity sports level.Karate Specific Aerobic Test(KSAT test)developed by Dr.Nunan is a test method that accurately simulates common technical movements in kumite competitions.The KSAT test can be completed only with a small number of instruments and sandbags in the regular karate training field.It is simple,convenient and easy to operate.This article will study the KSAT test,traditional treadmill test,and simulated combat test,and test the correlation between athletes’ performance in the KSAT test and treadmill test,and compare and analyze the KSAT test,treadmill test,and simulated combat.To verify the scientificity of the KSAT test,to explore simpler,more convenient and more aerobic capacity testing methods that are more in line with the characteristics of karate kumite,and to provide a reference for the special aerobic capacity testing of karate kumite athletes in China.Research methods: This study took 13 karate kumite athletes from the 2016 Beijing Institute of Physical Education as the test subjects,and tested the athletes on the treadmill test,KSAT test,and simulated maximum oxygen uptake and heart rate in actual combat.The correlation between the performance of the test and the running test is tested,and the two are compared and analyzed with the simulated combat.Research results:(1)There is a significant correlation between the maximum oxygen uptake of the KSAT test and the maximum oxygen uptake of the treadmill test(P <0.01);(2)the maximum heart rate of the KSAT test(P <0.01)and the time of exhaustion(P <0.05)was significantly correlated with the maximum heart rate of the treadmill test;(3)Maximum oxygen uptake(P <0.05),maximum heart rate(P<0.05),and exhaustion time(P <0.01)of the KSAT test)And the maximum oxygen uptake speed of the treadmill test is significantly correlated;(4)KSAT test exhaustion time(P <0.05),maximum heart rate(P <0.05)and maximum oxygen uptake(P <0.01)and running The exhaustion time of the treadmill test is significantly correlated;(5)The maximum oxygen uptake of the treadmill test and the simulated combat test(P<0.01),the maximum heart rate of the treadmill test and the maximum heart rate of the simulated combat test(P <0.01)showed a significant correlation;(6)the maximum oxygen uptake of the KSAT test and the simulated combat test(P <0.01),the maximum heart rate of the KSAT test,and the maximum heart rate of the simulated combat test(P <0.01)The correlation was significant.Research conclusions:(1)The KSAT test and the treadmill test have a high correlation on oxygen uptake,heart rate,and exhaustion time TE.The KSAT test has good reliability in the evaluation of exercise intensity and aerobic capacity.(2)Through the research in this article,we can find that the KSAT test has the same evaluation effect as the classic treadmill laboratory test.By comparison with the simulated combat test,it is found that the KSAT test has a higher test intensity for karate athletes and is closer to the special characteristics of the karate event.It is more suitable as a test method for aerobic capacity evaluation of karate events.(3)Compared with the classic treadmill test,the KSAT test has fewer test conditions.It can be performed in karate training venues and is not limited by the test site.The operability and convenience of the test are higher than the classic ones.Oxygen capacity test method.
