Abstract/Summary:
Community self-governance is an important issue in the new stage of China’s urbanization development,and it is difficult to effectively promote community empowerment and support the active and continuous participation of all kinds of residents.Information interaction devices combined with intelligent interaction technology can help reduce the barriers to participation and promote interaction,but better exploration of participation content and specific interaction methods is needed.The interaction mechanism based on gamification design is conducive to attracting various groups of people to actively and continuously participate in the community issues,but it is necessary to carry out targeted design for activities and groups.This research mainly explores how to apply gamification design and intelligent interaction technology to effectively support community empowerment and attract residents’ continuous attention and participation in community public affairs through the interactive system and gamification mechanism of the devices in the offline space.This study first summarizes the hierarchy of empowerment from passive to active and its task goals through literature research.The subsequent design path is obtained by sorting out the gamification Design path,and the sorting out of various player models and game components has established a foundation for subsequent user analysis and game mechanism matching.And from the case analysis of interactive installations,we get the interactive technical route of increasing the accessibility of the installation through natural interactive technology,and combining virtual reality and interactive projection to expand the output of interesting and environmental integrationCommunity walkthroughs and user interviews were conducted based on the above research,and the hierarchical framework of community empowerment was instantiated according to the specific public affairs of the community,and the main system content modules including message notification,community decision-making,and community activities.The survey on the characteristics and pain points of residents’community participation further led to the design points for the content modules of each system,and reflected the differences among the elderly,middle-aged and young people,and children.The survey on game preferences and activity characteristics has obtained the above three groups in the explicit gamification elements in the common hobby of synthetic elimination and management development games and the difference in the preferences of implicit motivation.Among them,achievement and socialization are the main motivational preferences common to the three groups,and certain group characteristics in mastery motivation for the elderly,action and creativity motivation for the middle-aged and young people,and immersion and creativity motivation for the children.However,in specific community application scenarios,achievement motivation should be directed to a behavior-transforming achievement experience initiated by the system,combined with a background and collective experience of creation and immersion.According to the investigation of the activity characteristics of different groups in the community,it was found that the interaction locations should be set on the daily commuting and access routes of the residents,and the interaction methods can be enriched in the evenings and weekends,and in general,it is necessary to consider the possibility of supporting long-term sustainable interaction.According to the above research and analysis,after obtaining the main tasks and objectives of each module and the design direction of gamification elements,this research completes the design and development of the community participation AR garden game system.The system mainly adopts natural interaction methods such as face detection,hand tracking,gesture recognition,etc.to realize the main functions of notification viewing,knowledge mini-game challenge,decision-making participation,activity understanding,question feedback,and opinion interaction,and integrate these functions.The participation behavior is transformed into game contributions such as flower generation,flower growth promotion,and virtual creature unlocking in the AR garden superimposed with the real scene,and the flower synthesis mechanism is used to further create a sense of connection between groups.The flower theme will periodically follow the seasonal and festival changes.The projection module of the device provides support for displaying feedback on community activities,simple communication of opinions,and parallel reality gameplay.The scenario test of the interactive demo shows that the program has basically completed the tasks and objectives in each module,and each group has significantly improved the initiative and continuous intention of community participation,which is a good evaluation of the overall gamification experience helped to make positive predictions for subsequent participation.According to the refinement problem obtained from the analysis of variance among the age groups of each module,the scheme was further optimized in this study.The final proposal provides a reference for promoting individual-community connection through natural interaction means and intelligent technology to support community participation,and for supporting collective consciousness and continuous public affairs participation through gamification design.
