Research On The Participation Of Non-profit Organizations In Social Assistance In Wujiang District,Suzhou City

With the economic and social development of our country,the average life expectancy has increased.Various factors such as production and life accidents,family planning and other factors have led to a large number of the elderly,the weak,the sick and the disabled in the society,and a large number of the elderly,the weak,the sick and the disabled are in urgent need of assistance.At the same time,relevant rescue standards are constantly evolving.The traditional social assistance model with the government as the main body of responsibility has been unsustainable.The government departments are also aware of this problem and put forward a policy of transforming from a management-oriented government to a service-oriented government.Governments at all levels are exploring the establishment of a new model for solving local social assistance problems in accordance with local conditions,which provides a large stage for non-profit organizations to participate in social assistance.In order to promote the high-quality development of the province’s social assistance system,Jiangsu Province gives full play to its own advantages and actively encourages non-profit organizations in multiple fields to combine their professional advantages and unique resources to participate in social assistance,and form temporary assistance based on subsistence allowances and special hardship support.A new type of trinity Jiangsu characteristic social assistance system with special assistance such as medical assistance as supporting facilities and supplementary by social forces.Wujiang District,Suzhou City has also actively responded to the guidelines of higher-level departments,actively encouraging non-profit organizations to participate in social assistance,and has achieved certain results.However,with the continuous development of non-profit organizations’ participation in social assistance in Wujiang District,problems such as non-standard management of non-profit organizations,weak professional talents,low level of operation,and insufficient supervision of relevant departments have gradually been exposed.In response to these issues,this article uses interviews,questionnaires,case studies and other research methods to directly contact social assistance organizations and individuals to obtain information on the current situation in Wujiang District,access a large number of materials and cases,and analyze in depth based on my grassroots work experience.The root cause of the problem and the search for a solution.For the comparative inspection of non-profit organizations participating in social assistance,strengthen their own advantages and make up for their own shortcomings;at the same time,provide a perspective for the supervision and reform of relevant functional departments;in addition,it also provides enlightenment and reference for the establishment and improvement of non-profit organizations participating in social assistance service systems.
