| In recent years,as China’s economic and social development has entered a new normal,social charity is gradually becoming a social issue of concern to all kinds of organizations and the public.As an important force in China’s economic development,private enterprises are paying more attention to and participating in charity.Charitable donation is an important form of corporate social responsibility,It can not only win more social reputation for private enterprises,but also make the positive role of Party organizations in governance recognized by the society.Based on this,using the Yangtze River Delta data from the 13 th National Private enterprise sampling survey in 2018 as the sample,this paper analyzes the effect of the party organization embeddedness of the sample enterprises on the charitable donation of private enterprises,Tobit,Logit,IV Tobit and 2SLS were used,and discusses the enterprise values,donation channels,enterprise performance,etc.,and empirically tests the impact of the establishment of Party organizations in private enterprises on corporate charitable donations.The results showed that:(1)The establishment of party organizations by private enterprises will help to improve the charitable donation level and willingness of private enterprises.After adopting different regression methods,excluding the influence of endogenity and sample selection bias,the promotion effect is still significant.(2)The corporate social value orientation plays an intermediary role in the influence of the party organization on corporate charitable donations.In enterprises that have established party organizations,the party organization will guide the legal operation of the enterprise and affect the value of the enterprise to a certain extent,and the enterprise party organization will influence the enterprise’s charitable donations by influencing the social value orientation of the enterprise.(3)Compared with the provincial test,the charitable donations of private enterprises in Shanghai are higher than those in other three provinces,while the charitable donations of Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Anhui provinces are similar.(4)From the comparison of donation channels,private enterprises that have established party organizations are more inclined to choose foundations and industry associations for donations.(5)The party organization of private enterprises promotes charitable donations of enterprises by strengthening ties with their affiliated higher-level party committees and has a significant effect.From the comparison of the different territorial management models of party organizations,the corporate party organizations under the management of the local federation of industry and commerce have the strongest role in promoting charitable donations,and the weaker is the party organization management model of individual private enterprise associations.(6)Both the intensity of charitable donations and the tendency of charitable donations have a significant positive impact on corporate performance.Compared with private enterprises without party organizations,companies whose party organizations participate in governance have a greater impact on corporate performance.From the perspective of charitable donations,the study verifies the positive role of party organization embedding in private enterprises. |
