Research On Public Service Supply Of Jurong City For The Elderly

Public service for the elderly is of great significance to improve the happiness of the elderly and maintain social harmony and stability.With the aggravation of China’s aging population,the supply of public services for the aged has become an important social problem.The high-quality demand for public services for the aged requires the government to gradually improve the supply capacity of public services for the aged.This study takes Jurong City as an example to explore the supply of public pension services in Jurong City.On the one hand,it helps to enrich the research results in public management,pension services and other related fields,and has certain theoretical value;On the other hand,it can provide theoretical reference for Jurong City to establish and improve the pension public service system,which has a certain application value.This study analyzes the current situation of pension public service supply in Jurong City from four perspectives: pension funds,social security for the elderly,health security for the elderly and pension service security.On this basis,AHP is used to calculate the weight of four criteria level indicators and 15 scheme level indicators of pension financial expenditure,social security for the elderly,health security for the elderly,and pension service security.Combined with the pension public service development index of Jurong City from 2014 to 2019,the pension service supply of Jurong City is evaluated.After analysis and evaluation,it is found that the overall trend of pension public service supply in Jurong is good,but there are also some structural and unbalanced problems.Firstly,the financial support of public pension services is insufficient;secondly,the development of urban and rural public pension services is unbalanced;thirdly,the social security of different elderly groups is unreasonable;fourthly,the cultivation system of professional pension services is not perfect.The reasons are as follows: first,the government’s public financial investment does not match the development of pension service;second,the demand for rural pension service does not match the development of pension service;third,the inequality of pension insurance does not match the development of pension service;fourth,the construction of pension service industry does not match the development of pension service.According to the existing problems and reasons of the elderly public service supply in Jurong City,this study puts forward specific measures to optimize the elderly public service system.First,strengthen the supply capacity of public service for the aged;second,build a scientific system of public service for the aged;third,form a long-term mechanism of public service for the aged.
