During the period of the new democratic revolution and socialist revolution and construction,Comrade Mao Zedong explored and enriched the theory and related systems of deliberative democracy in light of China’s specific national conditions.Based on the Selected Letters of Mao Zedong,this paper explores Mao Zedong’s thought of deliberative democracy in the letters,sorts out the stages of its historical development,analyzes the growth path of Mao Zedong’s thought of deliberative democracy layer by layer,and summarizes and summarizes its features and main contents.It is of great significance to study Mao Zedong’s thought of deliberative democracy for promoting the development and perfection of socialist democratic politics with Chinese characteristics in the new era.This paper first introduces the publication of Selected Letters of Mao Zedong and its collection by correspondence.Collection includes a total of 372 letters,objectively show the strong,national conditions,MAO zedong combined with a party and social realities,such as senior generals,actively with the KMT patriotic Democrats,advanced intellectuals and party comrades to communicate with friends and family parties such as letters,between the correspondence,promoted the establishment of the deliberative democracy system,Mao Zedong’s unique thought of deliberative democracy has been formed.Secondly,the author summarizes and summarizes the development process of deliberative democracy thought in Selected Letters of Mao Zedong.Based on the analysis of the time and content of the letters collected in the "Selected Letters of Mao Zedong" and the growth of Mao Zedong Thought,this paper summarizes Mao Zedong’s thought of deliberative democracy as the embryonic stage,the formative stage and the mature stage.In view of Mao Zedong’s deliberative democracy thought in different periods,in-depth analysis is made and some relevant examples are given.Thirdly,the author also sums up the main contents of deliberative democracy thought in Selected Letters of Mao Zedong.These include the deepening of the united front,the principles and characteristics of inter-party consultation,the exploration of intra-party consultation democracy,and the practice and norms of the mass line.The main characteristics of Mao Zedong’s deliberative democracy thought are as follows: the deliberative objects are extensive;A variety of consultation topics;Equality of negotiation subjects;Characteristics of duration of negotiation.Finally,the historical status and contemporary value of deliberative democracy thought in Selected Letters of Mao Zedong are discussed.The deliberative democracy thought in Selected Letters of Mao Zedong is an important part of Mao Zedong’s deliberative democracy thought,which lays a theoretical foundation for the practice and development of deliberative democracy in New China and plays a practical guiding role in the practice of Chinese revolution and construction.It provides ideological guidance for the continuous improvement and development of deliberative democracy of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era,and provides historical reference for promoting and expanding the practice of deliberative democracy of socialism with Chinese characteristics.It is conducive to the construction of democratic politics and promotes social harmony and stability.
