Research On Local Government’s Ability To Respond To Internet Public Opinion

In recent years,with the rapid development of the Internet and the continuous advancement of the information process and the advent of 5g era,the network has become one of the main channels of public information dissemination and public opinion exchange.Internet public opinion has also entered the era of explosion,network hot events will appear in front of the media and the public at any time.China is now in a period of development and transformation,with frequent social conflicts and more and more complex online public opinion,which brings certain challenges to the government in dealing with online public opinion.At present,the local government has some experience in the face of network public opinion,but the ability to deal with it is still lacking and needs to be improved.In this paper,how to effectively improve the local government’s response capacity as the goal,based on 4R crisis management theory,life cycle theory and "silent spiral" theory.Taking "Wuxi viaduct collapse" as a case,this paper discusses the local government’s ability to respond to network public opinion.Based on the questionnaire survey,the paper evaluates the ability of local government to respond to the network public opinion,and concludes the problems existing in the ability of Wuxi Local Government in the response to network public opinion.Then from the brewing period to establish a comprehensive prevention and control ability,the outbreak period to build a fast and effective response ability,the diffusion period to form a mature dredging ability,the treatment period to establish a coordinated operation and management ability,the recovery period to form a strong recovery ability,the paper puts forward the improvement countermeasures.
