The report of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China pointed out that “we must strengthen the government’s credibility and execution, and build a service-oriented government that satisfies the people.”Improving and improving the political trust of the people is the lubricant of good governance and an important issue that the party and the state must attach importance to.The group of migrant workers in our country occupies a significant proportion of the total population,so the political trust level of migrant workers will affect or even fluctuate the overall trust level of the country. And social mobility is not only related to a person’s position in society and the amount of resources occupied, but also significantly affects a person’s emotional cognition and value attitude. This includes attitudes, emotions, and values toward politics. Therefore, studying the influence of migrant workers’ social mobility on political trust has strong theoretical and practical significance. From the perspective of the influence of social mobility on political trust, this paper examines the influence of mobility motivation, realistic intra generational mobility, expected intra generational mobility and intergenerational mobility on all dimensions of political trust.Based on the data analysis of 615 migrant workers in Z Province,it is found that: 1.The overall political trust of migrant workers is acceptable, but there are also weak differences among different dimensions;2.The overall preference of migrant workers’ social mobility is upward social mobility;3.Urban pull factor, realistic upward generation mobility, expected downward generation mobility and intergenerational downward mobility has an impact on political trust.Based on the empirical analysis, this paper discusses the following aspects: first, whether the current situation of political trust of migrant workers falls into the Tacitus trap? According to the existing data analysis,it is found that although the dimensions of political trust are generally at the upper level of medium level, the institutional trust and the trust of members are slightly lower than that of the institutional trust. Therefore, the degree of political trust should be further enhanced to avoid falling into the Tacitus trap.Second, what is the current situation of migrant workers’ social mobility? Is there a phenomenon of "solidifying" of stratum? The research finds that the proportion of horizontal and downward mobility of migrant workers is relatively small, and the main body of social flow is still upward flow,so there is no "solidifying" phenomenon of stratum.Third, how does social mobility affect political trust? Through analysis,it is found that the "complex person" with both characteristics has an impact on political trust. Therefore,we can improve the social and economic status of the group and reduce the cognitive deviation of mobility, and then increase their political trust by providing migrant workers with the opportunity to move up,reducing their "relative deprivation" and actively promoting their political trust.
