The Leaning Protection Of Personal Biometrics Information

With the development of science and technology,facial recognition and iris recognition,which was only appeared in science fiction movies in the past,have become a common phenomenon in our daily life.In August 2019,personal biometrics information has been listed as personal information in the Third Deliberation Draft of Civil Code Part on Personality Rights.This indicates that personal biometrics information has been specially treated as a kind of personal information.However,how to effectively protect personal biometric information and balance the impact of technological development on personal privacy and information security is still not fully debated among the industry and legal practitioners.Therefore,this article intends to learn perspective of Facebook’s facial recognition related cases in the United States,and by drawing on and analyzing the current protection path of personal biometric information in the United States,Europe and Hong Kong,China,to advise how to establish a Personal biometric information protection system,which is suitable under our current legislative and law enforcement status.
