The analysis of blood alcohol(BA)is an important research work for the forensic identification, and its accuracy is related to the correctness and fairness of judicial determination. At the same time,it also provides clues for the analysis and judgments of the cause and the time of death. The gas chromatography is commonly used for BA analysis, and the influences, such as the method of instrumental analysis by gas chromatography, blood specimen collection, storage conditions, the absorption and metabolism of ethanol and the decay of cadaver, often interfere the accuracy of BA analysis results. Therefore, this paper discussed all these influences in detail in order to decrease adverse effects and to improve the accuracy of the BA analysis and its evidence value, and provide legal basis for the judicial decision and clues for criminal investigation. The dissertation includes five chapters, mainly divided into three parts. The first part is the first chapter, which discussed the research background and significance of the BA analysis. The uncertain affecting factors and the weakness of methods in the process of BA detection were discussed.Gas chromatography has the advantages of high accuracy, good sensitivity, and fast detection, and is the legal method for the detection of BA.Blood alcohol content(BAC)is the legal basis for criminal punishment, while the concentrations of alcohol in exhaled gas, urine, and saliva are only used as the auxiliary basis for law enforcement. The second part is from the second chapter to the fourth chapter of the paper. The main influencing factors on determination of blood alcohol by gas chromatography were discussed respectively, which including the detection condition of BA by gas chromatography, the methods of sample collection and its storage condition. It is necessary to evaluate the results of blood alcohol detection and its material evidence value from the perspective of theory and practice.Part three is the fifth chapter of the paper. The contents of the research were summarized.Considering the related practical problems in blood alcohol analysis, then the standardization of blood alcohol detection procedures was discussed, and the objectivity and legitimacy of blood alcohol identification results were discussed and prospected.
