Research On The Modern Inheritance Of The Traditional Family Traditions Of The Bai

Family tradition,also known as "family principles",refers to the style of life and norms passed down from generation to generation by a family or family.Family tradition is attached to family precepts,rules,genealogy,letters and other cultural carriers,and externalized in daily family life and social activities such as clothing,food,housing and transportation.It is the spiritual place of a family and has an important influence on the cultivation of behavior habits and values of social groups.At present,academic studies on family tradition are mainly focused on clan members,imperial family tradition,great people’s family tradition,etc.,but there are few studies taking a certain ethnic group as a case,and the study of Bai people mainly involves the fields of history,archaeology,religion,customs,literature and art,etc.,and the discussion on Bai family traditions is insufficient.From the perspective of ethnology and based on the Pattern of Difference Sequence and social role theory,this study studied the modern inheritance of conventional Bai family traditions by means of fieldwork and literature-analysis.This dissertation is divided into five parts.The introduction is mainly about the origin of the topic,the significance of the research,the introduction of the field and the academic frontier.The first chapter,from the genealogy,pedigree and other documents,the content and characteristics of the Bai people family traditions are summarized.It is concluded that the traditional family traditions of the Bai people are composed of four aspects: the concept of selfcultivation,the concept of frugality and honesty,the concept of filial piety,fraternal kindness and benevolence,and the concept of benevolence and good neighborliness.The main characteristics are indigenization,diversity,education and inheritance.The second chapter discusses the function and value of Bai people traditional family tradition from its content.The third chapter discusses the principles and contents of modern inheritance of Bai people’s traditional family traditions.The fourth chapter focuses on the carrier and mode in the process of modern inheritance of Bai people family traditions,and divides the carrier into two types:material symbol and consciousness symbol.The inheritance mode has changed from the family and society to the family,school and society.The last part is the discussion,which will discuss the traditional family traditions of the Bai people,the Pattern of Difference Sequence and social role theory respectively.Through this study,it is found that the traditional family tradition of Bai people has the following findings: first,the content of the traditional family tradition of Bai people presents a difference sequence extrapolated from oneself.In addition to the father-son axis,the Bai society also pays attention to the brother axis and husband-wife axis.
