With the rapid development of computer science and information technology,games on computers,cell phones,game consoles and other hardware platforms are also changing day by day.Games with fancier graphics and ampler plots are the intellectual achievements of game creators.If these intellectual achievements are not well protected,the game industry is bound to have a negative impact.According to the Copyright Law of the People’s Republic of China,which was amended in 2010,the mainstream protection paths for game graphics are Split Protection or Works Created by a Process Analogous to Cinematography,but there are many shortcomings in both Split Protection and works created by a process analogous to cinematography.In the new Copyright Law that will come into force on June 1,2021,the classification of Works Created by a Process Analogous to Cinematography is deleted and the classification of Audiovisual Works is added,which will certainly have an impact on the recognition of Game Sequential Graphics in the Copyright Law.Therefore,this paper discusses the advantages and disadvantages of each protection route for Game Sequential Graphics.The first chapter of this paper discusses the scope of the types of video games and the definition of Game Sequential Graphics.The second chapter of this paper analyzes three protection paths of Game Sequential Graphics.In Chapter 2,we analyze three protection paths for Game Sequential Graphics,they are Split Protection,protection as Audiovisual Works,and protection as Works Created by a Process Analogous to Cinematography.Firstly,the "Split Protection" path is not comprehensive,the expression of the game design and rules are also protectable,but the "Split Protection" path has many shortcomings.The "path" does not protect this.Secondly,"Split Protection" has the disadvantages of increasing the litigation burden,the low amount of damages,and the tendency to cause logical confusion when applied.Compared with the "Split Protection" path,there are also drawbacks in that the protection path of Works Created by a Process Analogous to Cinematography can protect the expression of the game rules,which makes the video game get more comprehensive protection,but there are also inconsistencies in the expression of the video game and different forms of production,etc.The paper also discusses the expression of the video game and different forms of production,etc.The paper also discusses the rationality and necessity of the overall game screen as a protection path for Audiovisual Works.Chapter 3 discusses the copyright attribution of g Game Sequential Graphics,firstly,it discusses the unreasonable legislative attribution of copyright of Audiovisual Works,the copyright owner of Audiovisual Works should be the creator,secondly,it discusses what is the creative act of the Game Sequential Graphics,and discusses the rationality of game players as the creator of the Game Sequential Graphics.
