Research On The Problems And Countermeasures Of Rural Empty-Nesters’ Endowment In Zheshan Town Of Anqiu City

At present,China’s economy is developing steadily and rapidly,people’s quality of life and medical level are improving gradually,and the latest statistics in China as of 2020 show that the average life expectancy of the Chinese population has reached 77 years.Meanwhile,there are more and more elderly people and the aging of the population is becoming more and more serious.Therefore,the issue of endowment has become the focus of great social concern.In particular,the spirit of the Fifth Plenum of the 19 th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China proposed to improve the level of social development,enhance people’s quality of life,strength the social security system,create a healthy China,as well as implement a national strategy to actively deal with the aging population.Currently,China is not only in the critical period of completing the “two centenary” goal,but also an important stage in the development of comprehensive poverty alleviation and rural revitalization strategy in the countryside,so it is of great significance to solve the problem of rural empty-nesters’ endowment in remote mountainous areas.From the perspective of the problems of rural empty-nesters,this paper combines Maslow’s hierarchy of needs,family life cycle theory,and welfare pluralism theory,and the research object is Zheshan Town,Anqiu City,Weifang City,Shandong Province.Besides,the research analysis was conducted by using literature research method,questionnaire survey method and case interview method,among which 820 questionnaires were distributed by questionnaire survey method and 783 were collected,with a recovery rate of 95.4%.Moreover,by analyzing the research data,it is concluded that the existing problems of rural empty-nesters in Zheshan town include: low economic income and single source;lack of daily care and insufficient spiritual comfort;low level of medical services and high cost of medical care.In view of the above problems,this paper proposes reasonable countermeasures from three aspects: Overall,the government should improve relevant laws,regulations,and policies to improve the economic income and social security treatment of the empty-nest elderly.Beyond that,the community should vigorously promote community elderly care,establish community elderly care service institutions and cultivate professional elderly care service personnel.In addition,the families and individuals should promote filial piety culture,improve the filial piety and sense of responsibility of the children,enhance the adaptability of the empty-nesters to live alone as well as update the ideology of the new era,so as to solve the endowment problem of the rural empty-nesters in Zheshan Town.Ultimately,it can improve the material and spiritual living standards of the rural empty-nesters,and further promote the construction and development of the rural endowment security system.
