Abstract/Summary:
A growing awareness of the need to restore peace, stability and security in Africa was observed in the 1990s.Hence,the endorsement by the leaders of the African continent of a "collective responsibility if they want to significantly reduce the number of conflicts".by this basis of restoring peace and security within the African continent, the states of the African Union had the responsibility to create the Peace and Security Council in order to maintain peace within the continent in the spirit of Responsibility for Africa to better manage the various conflicts is primarily the responsibility of Africans.During all these years,we have witnessed several crises that have weaned the continent and the one that holds our attention is that linked to the Libya, which has recently been abandoned to its own fate since the start of the crisis in 2010 until these days. This crisis remains in the consensus or the parties or the parties still do not agree.Hence the importance of talking about the involvement of the African Union. This is how in the process of our work,we were able to trace the involvement of the African Union in the resolution of the said crisis but also of challenges encountered during its process. In the body of work,we were able to talk about the mode of peaceful settlement of conflicts in international law then in second we spoke about the action of the union by the cps, which implies its mode of conflict resolution and its implication in said crisis, and finally we raised the challenges that the Union may have encountered.
