Weifang City To Join The Courier Industry Courier Labor Rights And Interests Protection

China’s express delivery industry started in the late 1970s and has a history of more than 40 years.Over the past 40 years,my country’s express delivery industry has developed rapidly,with business volume hitting new highs repeatedly.In 2019,my country’s total express delivery has surpassed the sum of developed economies such as the United States,Japan and Europe,and contributed more than 50%to world growth.By the end of 2020,my country’s express delivery industry has led to the employment of nearly 4 million people.With the rapid increase in employment,the shortcomings of the existing management mechanism have become increasingly prominent.Occupational characteristics such as high incidence of accidents,long average daily working hours,strong occupational mobility,and low industry entry barriers.The hidden employment hazards brought about by these characteristics make the labor rights protection of the courier group inadequate and frequent infringements.In this regard,the third meeting of the 13th National People’s Congress in 2020 launched a proposal on the rights and interests of couriers.As the central hub of Shandong Province,many express companies will choose to establish an express delivery center here.The express delivery business volume ranks first in the country for years.Weifang,as a pilot city for flexible employment and employee injury insurance,has accumulated more work experience.It has certain policy advantages in terms of labor rights protection.Selected as the research object of the couriers in the express delivery industry who are relatively weak in the protection of labor rights and interests in Weifang City,based on Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory,Schultz’s human capital theory,Rawls’ theory of fairness and justice,and Piori’s labor market segmentation theory.Based on field surveys and questionnaire statistics,an in-depth analysis of the current status of the labor rights and interests of couriers in the express delivery industry in Weifang City is carried out,revealing that its crrent social security level is generally low,there are loopholes in the protection of basic rights and interests of couriers,and the awareness of courier rights protection Insufficiency and other practical problems and their causes.Explains the practice of labor rights protection in Germany,the United States,Shanghai,Beijing and other places,and summarizes the experience of policy protection legislation,starting from the construction of grass-roots trade union organizations,and strengthening the construction of the tripartite coordination mechanism,targeting the labor rights of couriers in the express delivery industry in Weifang City The problems in security and the reference of advanced domestic and foreign experience,from the four aspects of the government,industry enterprises,labor unions and individual couriers,proposed to strengthen the improvement,supervision and popularization of government laws and regulations;the express industry and enterprises should improve the vocational skills training system,Optimize the internal management mechanism of the enterprise,and actively assume social responsibilities;in terms of trade union organization,it is necessary to start from the perspective of grassroots union construction and service enhancement to give full play to the role of trade unions in safeguarding rights;from the perspective of couriers,they need to protect their own rights and interests from the legal awareness and culture We will start with the enhancement of skills and quality to promote the resolution of existing problems in the protection of labor rights and interests of couriers in the express delivery industry in Weifang City.
