A Study Of Our Citizens’ Belief In The Constitution

The core of the Constitution not only stipulates the rights of citizens,but also makes detailed provisions on the obligations of citizens.Constitution is closely related to every aspect of citizens’ real life.“Law must be believed in,otherwise it will be meaningless.”Citizens’ belief in the Constitution is a key and vital content in the smooth development of the rule of law in our country.Strong belief in the constitution is an essential element for realizing the rule of law,so it is particularly important to enhance citizens’ legal consciousness and establish their belief in the constitution.I think the citizens’ constitutional belief refers to a citizen genuine and sincere supporting the Constitution and practicing and implementing it in the actual practice.All of our citizens must firmly build up the idea of constitutional faith,abide by the Constitution and other rules and regulations.Encountering problems in daily life,we must actively use legal effective means of the law to defend rights and interests.We will make the Constitution closely related to real life and govern the country in accordance with the Constitution and laws.However,in the process of advancing to democratization and rule of law,the lack of citizens’ belief in constitution restricts and even hinders the process of ruling the country by law.To popularize law and strengthen citizens’ belief in constitution should be implemented urgently in the coming period.This paper mainly studies the lack of belief in the Constitution of Chinese citizens.The first part is the introduction of the paper,mainly introduces the background,significance,current situation and writing methods of the study.The second part is the general theory of the characteristics of the constitution and constitutional beliefs from the perspective of related theories and concepts.The third part focuses on the analysis of the necessity and feasibility of building up the constitutional belief,through the description of the basic content to make the article clear.The belief in constitution is necessary for building a country ruled by law and safeguarding the rights and interests of citizens,and the belief in constitution is feasible in practice with respect to theory and implementation.The above description and analysis proves that the popularization of constitution can be carried out.The fourth part is the description of the current situation of the lack of constitutional belief of Chinese citizens and it further deduces the reasons of the problem.The lack of citizens’ belief in the constitution is mainly reflected in the lack of understanding of the supremacy of the constitution,the lack of understanding of the status and effectiveness of the constitution,and the lack of clarity that the constitution is the legislative basis of the basic law and the formulation basis of the common law.These problems are caused by the imperfection of constitutionality examination and the influence of official standard thought.The fifth part mainly describes the thinking of strengthening citizens’ belief in the Constitution,and puts forward some measures and suggestions for strengthening our citizens’ belief in the Constitution.By actively promoting the concept of rule of law,upholding the leadership of the Communist Party of China,and focusing on the cultivation of law enforcement and judicial personnel,the aim is to implement the responsibility of popularizing the law and improving democracy and the rule of law.Through the implementation of the system of pledging allegiance to the Constitution,we should strengthen the "Constitution Day" activities,promote the commemoration of the fundamental law,create a good legal environment,enhance the level of citizens’ belief in the Constitution and their understanding of the belief in the supremacy of the Constitution.In the process of popularizing the law and perfecting the implementation and supervision mechanism of the Constitution,through perfecting the evaluation mechanism and constitutionality review mechanism and perfecting the supervision and guarantee mechanism,we can improve the belief mechanism of citizens in the Constitution and enhance their belief in the Constitution.By innovating the new mode of legal education and systemizing the constitution education,we can strengthen the constitution education of citizens,improve citizens’ constitutional literacy and enhance the strength of citizens’ belief in the Constitution.In this paper,through systematically analyzing our country citizens’ constitutional belief,combined with the research status quo,the deficiency of our citizens’ belief in the constitution at present is probed and corresponding rational suggestions and countermeasures for the cultivation of our citizens’ belief in the constitution are provided with the purpose of benefiting the process of our country’s rule of law and the promoting the citizens’ belief in the constitution.
