Research On Sino-Russian Relations From The Perspective Of Xi Jinping’s Thought On Major Country Diplomacy

Marxist diplomatic view requires that diplomatic practice should be based on the development of all mankind.On this basis,since the eighteen CPC Congress,the Central Committee of the CPC,with the core of General Secretary Xi Jinping,has deeply considered the development trend of the world and China,creatively proposed a series of new ideas and new theories,and opened a new journey of major power diplomacy with Chinese characteristics.Russia is China’s largest neighbor.The development of Sino-Russian relations is of great significance to both countries and the whole world.At present,the academic circles focus on the study of Sino-Russian relations from the perspective of international political relations.In the specific perspective of Xi Jinping’s major power diplomatic thinking,this thesis combed the theoretical embodiment and concrete practice of this thought in Sino-Russian relations,and analyzed the restrictive factors that affect the future development of Sino-Russian relations and the ways to enhance them.Xi Jinping’s thought on major country diplomacy is a concentrated expression of China’s diplomatic strategy in the new era.This diplomatic thought was born in an era when the world was undergoing major changes unseen in a century,China was in a critical period of the rise of a major power,and China’s diplomatic strategy needed urgent adjustment.Xi Jinping’s thought on major country diplomacy contains the connotations of diplomatic thoughts with a profound views on international order,international responsibility,and national interests.2021 marks the 72 nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia.Over the past 70 years,the two countries have gone through ups and downs,and the Sino-Soviet relations have smoothly transited to Sino-Russian relations.Thanks to history,since the 18 th CPC National Congress,under the guidance of Xi Jinping’s thought on major country diplomacy,Sino-Russian relations have entered a new era of development.The Sino-Russian relations under the guidance of Xi Jinping’s thought on major country diplomacy are mainly embodied in the following two aspects.First,General Secretary Xi Jinping has made new discussions,new positions and new judgments on the development of Sino-Russian relations: Sino-Russian relations are in the best period in history;Sino-Russian relations complement each other’s advantages in many fields and achieve mutual benefit and win-win results;Sino-Russian relations have further bright prospects.Second,it also shows that China and Russia have made a series of important achievements in the process of practice.For example,political and strategic mutual trust has been deepened,economic and trade cooperation has been steadily promoted,people-to-people exchanges have been fruitful,and military cooperation has been deeply integrated.Under the guidance of Xi Jinping’s thought on major country diplomacy,Sino-Russian relations have been further deepened and become a model of the new type of major country relations.However,there are some inevitable restrictive factors in the development of Sino-Russian relations.For example,strategic mutual trust is still insufficient,economic and trade cooperation is still hindered,and cultural differences are deeply rooted.Therefore,in order to better promote the sustainable development of Sino-Russian relations,under the strategic guidance of the heads of state,China and Russia should continue to enhance political mutual trust,uphold win-win cooperation and enhance people-to-people exchanges.In short,studying Sino-Russian relations from the specific perspective on Xi Jinping’s thought on major country diplomacy,is conducive to better understanding and grasping the theoretical characteristics of Xi Jinping’s thought on diplomacy and the deepening development of China-Russia relations,highlighting the autonomy and originality of China’s diplomacy and reflecting the historic leap of Marxism in the field of diplomacy.
