A Comparative Study Of Community Social Capital In Public Health Events

Based on the context of public health incidents,this paper makes a comparative study on the changes in community social capital in modern commercial housing communities and traditional old communities in Chinese cities.On the eve of the Spring Festival in 2020,COVID-19 epidemic broke out in my country,which brought serious threats to people’s production,life and life safety.The Party Central Committee and the government immediately adopted medical treatment,community control and other response measures,and achieved good results in anti-epidemic and epidemic prevention.The community is a residence that is closely related to each of us,and it is also the first line of prevention and control of COVID-19.The community has brought great protection to the residents.Through this public health incident,we have the opportunity to re-examine the community.The transformation of my country’s social economy and the development of market economy ownership have caused the communities in our cities to shift from a unit system to a community system.Different types of communities in cities present differences in living space.With the emergence of COVID-19 epidemic,the country has adopted a series of structural controls,and residents have also generated their own endogenous needs during special periods,which has caused many changes in social capital in urban communities.Reflected in the epidemic,the social capital of the community has moved from physical space to the dual generation field of physical and cyberspace.The Internet is fully utilized in the epidemic,the community has formed a multi-subject interactive work model,community workers have increased their voice and the awareness of national community has increased.According to the different community spatial structures,community homogeneity and heterogeneity,population mobility,community awareness and individual social capital in different communities,it can be found that there is heterogeneity when the social capital of the overall community changes.At the same time,there are differences in the construction of community social capital in different types of communities.Therefore,based on the changes in community social capital in public health incidents,this article focuses on comparing the two types of community social capital that are representative of the city.In the context of public health incidents,there are differences in social capital between modern commercial housing communities and traditional old communities in terms of community norms,community relationship networks,and community trust.In terms of community norms,old communities have formal norms of strict boundary management,among which spontaneous organizations play more roles in informal norms;cyberspace norms are gradually established in commercial housing communities,and voluntary organizations develop well in this type of community.Neighborhood interaction subjects in the community relationship network show more interactions between students and parents in the commercial housing community,while the interaction between the middle-aged and elderly groups in the old community increases;the residents of the commercial housing community can better participate in cyberspace activities than the old communities Medium;Commodity housing community party organizations can bring better resources and help to residents in the prevention and control of the epidemic;the role of property in old communities has been highlighted,interaction with residents has been enhanced,and recognition has increased.Community trust is reflected in the increase of neighborhood trust in old communities;commercial housing communities play an important role in the professionalism of staff in epidemic prevention and control;at the same time,the workplaces of commercial housing communities are more stable and have a positive impact on overall community trust;The sense of security and belonging of residents in old communities has been enhanced through interaction with the community and physical space closure during the epidemic.Based on the differences in the social capital generation elements,operating mechanism and presentation patterns of the above two types of community,this paper puts forward concrete guidance for the social capital of modern commercial housing community and traditional old community,and provides practical reference for the cultivation of social capital in the whole community in the city from the three aspects of government leadership,community execution and residents’ internal drive.
