A Comparative Study Of Russia’s(Soviet Union) Diplomatic Position,Input And Income Towards Egypt

By summarizing the three characteristics of the relationship between Russia(Soviet Union)and Egypt the author chooses the positioning theory in the constructivism paradigm as a tool to analyze the relationship between Russia(Soviet Union)and Egypt from the perspective of interaction.The framework of "storylines,speech-act and position" can control the factors that affect the value distribution of Russia’s policy toward Egypt,and determine whether Russia’s policy toward Egypt has achieved the desired effect by observing Egypt’s diplomatic feedback.Reviewing the history of contemporary international relations between Russia(Soviet Union)and Egypt from the 1950s to the present can provide sufficient historical support for the study of the elements of the success or failure of the diplomacy of great powers towards Egypt.Through the deconstruction and comparative analysis of Russia’s(Soviet Union’s)foreign policy to Egypt in the six historical nodes,we can draw the corresponding inference.The diplomatic action that benefits Egypt’s economy is the basis of opening up the diplomatic situation with Egypt;When Egypt is faced with security threats,providing weapons and equipment for Egypt can obtain Egypt’s diplomatic support,and providing security guarantee for Egypt can deepen its military cooperation with Egypt;When Egypt loses the ability to guarantee its own security,providing security for Egypt can make Egypt undertake the obligation of military ally;If we stop providing security for Egypt,the great powers can still retain their privileges from Egypt for a short time until Egypt no longer depends on it in terms of security and diplomacy.Egypt’s surrounding international environment,national economic conditions and historical culture traditions are the internal reasons for the above-mentioned laws in the diplomacy with Egypt.
