The thesis covers influence of United Nations towards the conflict resolution in Somali,unlike many African populations;the overwhelming majority of the Somalis are part of a single,homogeneous ethnic group.All Somalis are Muslim and share the same language and culture.Nevertheless,one of the most terrible civil wars in Africa has been waged in this country for more than two decades.Somalia has been without a functioning central government since the late dictator General Mohamed Siad Barre was ousted in 1991.This study examines the root causes of the Somali conflict and analyses some of the obstacles that that focuses peace efforts for the last 2 decades,with regard to the obstacles to peace,the interest of neighbor countries,the absence of major power interest,lack of resources and the warlords’ lack of interest in peace are the major factors that continue to haunt the Somali peace processIn the analysis of the failures of previous efforts,based on the thesis put forward their own to deal with the conflict in Somalia solution:First,the in-depth analysis to grasp the root causes of the collapse of Somalia;the second is to be used between the various political factions in Somalia mediation to achieve peaceful coexistence between them;Third,we must pay attention to the advantages of the African Union in the maintenance of regional security and development on the African Union to resolve the conflict in Somalia collective strength;and finally cut off the penetration of foreign forces resisting foreign interference.Only from international,national and different political factions in Somalia three levels go hand in hand,working together to resolve the conflict in Somalia,Somalia will have a stable and prosperous future development of the Somali people to live a happy life.
